Join NEXT SATURDAY, September 27th, at 8PM for an immersive performance! The Chicago-based neo-Fluxus theater troupe //sense will activate the museum's galleries with an experimental âtheater of mixed meansâ entitled "flux in time," weaving a metaphorical and metaphysical network through history, art, and life, paying homage to the legacy of BMC. You may remember //sense from their {Re}HAPPENING installation in the gymnasium earlier this year! â
â
presented in conjunction with the 15th Annual ReVIEWING Black Mountain College International Conference, "flux in time" will transform the museum into a landscape of collective imagination through embodied movement. This performance "happening" event is free and open to the general public - you don't want to miss it!â

Live scoring by sound artist Kim Nucci.

Onion City Film Festival and the Center for Concrete and Abstract Machines (CCAM), in collaboration with Public Works Gallery co-present a live performance program adjacent to the festival exploring âexpanded cinemaâ in an attempt to put cinematic art to the tasks of resistance, rupture, and reconfiguration of mediatic experience. We ask: how can experimental modes of animating sound and moving image reconfigure the possibility of our relating to one another anew?
Feeling lucky. I havenât had a month of shows this busy since leaving Oakland. Talking about multichannel sound at @esschicago tomorrow (10/2), then at Elastro AV Fest @elasticarts with @gordon.d.fung (10/13), then solo at @compoundyellow curated by the lovely @01saratonin
