💥 NEW WORK!💥Taj Wine Labels: 🍷 The storied winemaker Cos de Estournel @cosdestournel Pagode des Cos from Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, along with the Taj Group of Hotels @tajhotels commissioned @plusrymn to design a distinctive label system for a limited series of eleven private-label Bordeaux wines created exclusively for the group’s palace hotels. The intent was to develop a visual identity that would reflect both the heritage of the wines and the architectural grandeur of each participating palace property. Each wine corresponds to a specific palace hotel, with the label design distilled into a minimalist architectural silhouette that captures the essence of each building’s form and heritage. The visual system is unified through a restrained three-color palette, reinforcing a sense of luxury, rarity, and collectability. From concept development through branding, packaging, and print production, every detail was calibrated to reflect the premium quality and provenance of the wine itself. 💥We’ve been busy busy, busy! NEW WORK!!! 💥 Proud to have worked on this absolutely stunning book on one the most beautiful creatures in the world—the MAJESTIC HORSE !! @vantarahorses When your subject is this good looking, with a special focus on Marwari horses, everything flows: Creative direction, design, art direction, photography, all come together seamlessly, beautifully. We explored their incredible facilities and got up close with these magnificent animals from all over the world. A deep dive into their environments, from therapeutic pools to pristine stables and lush open running grounds, even a horse dentist—deepened our appreciation and admiration. The project became what it had always meant to be: a grand homage to one of the most beautiful creatures in the world. We also designed a special edition one off set of illustrations on archival paper that tucked into a discreet envelope, only revealed at the very end of the book. A few years ago a young writer spent a day with us at our Soho home, for a feature for @archdigestindia We spent the day talking, exploring our collection of art, books, ceramics by @makepeaceunited and what it means to travel and gather, what makes it on to our walls and shelves. That lovely writer @komalinga captured the essence of what we hold dear, and what we hold on to. She has gone on to do many amazing things since, but ( not biased at all) this is one of my favorite articles by her! Now years later, we have all travelled more, seen more, read more and may even know more than we did then, but at the heart of it - we are the same: we find things that speak to us, and we hold them near and dear. 💥NEW WORK💥 Commissioned to capture in book form, the immense art collection that resides within @tajmahalmumbai , we decided that grand and beautiful was the way to go. Of the over 30,000 pieces that reside in that collection - we featured a mere 300 or so, and the process of discovery and research was a delight unto itself. 👉🏽 We researched, photographed, designed, commissioned, illustrated, produced and printed this amazing book that should be the starting point of any artistic walk and discovery when visiting the @tajmahalmumbai The original title was “ A meander through time” which was changed to “ A timeless collection” - but meandering through this timeless collection is what this book is all about. All of this possible with thanks to clients @tajhotels @tajmahalmumbai who let us do what we do best, and to my incredible team ( listed below) who helped bring it to life. 2 years in the making !! Our book on the Jewel of the Lake : @tajlakepalace is finally here. 360 pages of stunning photography, deep research, hundreds of interviews with staff and guests, a nod to 007, beautiful illustrations and stories, quotes, anecdotes. This icon - and to me - the most beautiful hotel in India, and one of the most exquisite in the world - deserves a book that shows it in all its glory, and this certainly does. When we were asked to work on this, I had a vision of making this a book about how it FEELS to be there, the approach, the boat ride, the arrival, the welcome, and the catch of breath when one enters the inner courtyard with its lily pond and singing birds… from dawn to dusk. I am ever so grateful to @lakshyarajsinghmewar for opening his palace and his schedule to us and to his team who helped us with a massive amount of reserach. Thankful to @taljinder1961 and @kmohanchandran for trusting me with this once in a lifetime project, to @tajlakepalace staff ( each and every one of them who took time- no matter how busy -to help), and to the wider @tajhotels team! I spent ( along with my brilliant team listed below) weeks at this sublime hotel on the lake and it has never stopped being as awe inspiring as the first time I laid eyes on it. Thanks also to the GM’s past and present who made sure this came to life in the manner envisioned. @kmohanchandran @parvinderbual + Rahul Maini Over the next few days I’ll be posting a lot about this book, some BTS, some on press moments and some photos - simply of my favorite corner of the world… the Jewel of the Lake. YOUNG GUNS 1998!! This morning an email popped into my inbox from @theoneclubforcreativity announcing that the talented batch for YG 23 ( this year) had been selected. I was immediately transported back to 1998 when I had been so proud to have been selected for the second batch of the Young Guns : some of the best talent in the worlds of design illustration photography- basically creativity in the design industry under the age of 30. Scrolling through the batch of ‘98, it was amazing to see how there were so many amazingly talented folk who still remain some of the best in the biz and who I am proud to have either worked with or befriended and who happily still remain some of my closest friends. We lived through some gloriously creative years in nyc in the 90s and early 2000s and for that ( and all of them) I remain oh so grateful. My fave cashmere @andraabkashmir I’m back in India and zoomed over to see their store @theleelapalacenewdelhi and their new collection. That heavyweight floral Kaani had me dreamy eyed and the reversible gold and terracotta was sublime… Every piece delicious and delightful. 🧡🤎❤️

👉🏽 Volume up! 👉🏽WORK we are proud of! : I’d like to share some context for this video. When @tholiaskuber asked us to refresh their brand and develop their first campaign, we didn’t focus only on the beauty of the jewels, the imagery, the stones, or the craftsmanship — elements that are common to many finely made pieces in India. What mattered most to us was expressing a clear vision: what truly sets the brand apart. We centered the campaign around the idea of an “edited eye.” In a place where beautiful objects are everywhere, the real challenge is recognizing what has been thoughtfully considered in its entirety. It’s not simply about the value of a gemstone or material — it’s about intention, design, and the story behind each piece. This led to the concept of “ The Eye of Tholia’s Kuber” as the campaign’s core idea and tagline. We wanted people to understand that this eye represents more than sourcing exceptional stones or cuts; it reflects a deep understanding of design, heritage, and curation. In a world full of visual noise, people are searching for a trusted, discerning perspective that can distill what is truly meaningful and beautiful. I had long wanted to collaborate with @avani.rai , and this project became the perfect opportunity. 30 years ago, in January 1996, there was a blizzard in New York City, photographed by Giles Perress for @newyorkermag . In the upper left corner of this image is the building that sat on 26 and 6th Avenue - the top floor that belonged to the amazing @jdrewhodges and within that resided the one-room studio of Spot Design, founded by the very same amazing Drew Hodges. A small band of us: eager creatives @naomimizusaki , @kevinbrainard , @liachee , Drew, and I sat there during that winter storm on January 8th, working away on various record covers, design for Nickelodeon and MTV, and dreaming of what would come next: huge successes which came very soon after with our design and knock- the -world’s -socks -off -campaign for the musical Rent. Rent was the defining moment for Spot and its future, but back then, we were just kids working away, even through a blizzard. This photo was published in @newyorkermag in its January 22nd 1996 issue, and seeing this today made me reminisce about how lucky we were to start where we did and continue as we did. Thank you Naomi for digging this out, and also thank you, The New Yorker, for capturing this moment. Forever a new yorker, no matter where I go, and no matter how many decades I’ve spent here. @ryrx
