🎬 Highlighting the power of youth as agents of social change, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (@unaoc ) is excited to launch the 2026 Call for Submissions of its PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival, inviting young filmmakers from all around the world to submit their short films addressing pressing social issues. As in previous editions, three outstanding videos will receive PLURAL+ International Jury Distinctions. In addition, three Special Recognitions will be granted to videos focusing on Combating Xenophobia and Discrimination, Responsible Narratives on Migration, and #AI for #OneHumanity!
📺 In its 18th edition, #PLURALplus26 encourages young people up to 25 years old, to use innovative storytelling techniques—whether narrative fiction, documentary, animation, or any other genre—to challenge stereotypes, foster dialogue, and advocate for social cohesion.

🎬 “White Dot” tells the story of a young blind woman who became the first cinematic videographer with total blindness, redefining visual storytelling through sound, emotion, and sensory experience. The film is directed by another blind artist—a sensory photographer and filmmaker—who shares a similar journey as the first visually impaired student in the Faculty of Mass Communication (English Section) at Cairo University.

🎬 “Too Young To Be A Wife” offers an intimate glimpse into the life of a young Rohingya girl navigating the harsh realities of displacement.
