Before donating, please make sure your float is:
🧼 Clean
✨ Mould-free
🌈 Bright and in as-new condition (not faded or discoloured)
🚫 No large paddling pools or above-ground PVC pools
🚫 No air mattresses or tents please (we already have plenty)
Because every PLOYS bag is handmade by cutting floats into PVC sheets and sewing them into bold, one-of-a-kind designs, the material needs to still look fresh and have plenty of life left 💚
Our best tip? Send it our way as soon as it pops 💨
If it’s under 12 months old, it’s usually perfect for upcycling and staying in the circular loop 🔂 instead of ending up in landfill 🗑️

Meet Carin the driving force behind PLOYS. She has a passion of reducing plastic waste by upcycling broken pool inflatables into one-of-a-kind bags, purses and home accessories. Her business statement is from float to fashion!
In her day to day life Carin works as an Occupational Therapist in Mental Health by enabling the person to create a positive future for themselves.
Creating a better future is also her passion through PLOYS, with a mission of designing and creating functional accessories from PVC waste.
PLOYS is supported by her husband Gerhard and like minded people who assist with managing the punctured pool toy collection points and two wonderful women who help with sewing during the busy season. Carin is also active in her community with organising beach clean up events!
