Our first meditations of the year saw a raw and hypnotizing performance from @last__eden
A really excellent display of fuzzy drones, driving rhythmical synth tones from her @somasynths Pulsar 23 and Lyra 8.
We ask that performers not come too prepared in terms of their set and explore their equipment on the fly. It can lead to some happy accidents or the occasional misdirection but in the case of Last Eden we were really treated something special. When a performer knows her equipment intimately it shines through. Thanks for a truly enjoyable set and a wonderful evening all round.
Thanks as always to @mishmashdublin for the tranquil space to explore sounds in. The chats and mingling over coffee and tasty treats are what bring the whole thing together.

Way back in time before AI enshitified everything into homogeneous sameness @analog_live_ delivered a masterclass in live electronics.
First time hearing the @vermonagear PERfourMER in the wild and he really made those oscillators sing. Really beautiful piece of equipment. Paired expertly with the @ericasynths Perkons and @abstract_instruments Avalon. The @squarpinstruments Hapax on sequencing duty. A very tidy setup indeed

Still have last Saturdays performances at the forefront of our thoughts. It was a very special evening. Thanks again to everyone who played, who attended, who sipped the black gold, who spaced out, who chatted nerdy to each other. It was really a lot of fun. Before tomorrow’s return to @mishmashdublin a snippet of when Éanna Cunnane @priorartsoundworks brought his Buchla in for a test drive. This was the first Buchla we’ve had at the meditations and we were treated to the synth without any effects coloring the sound.
It was great to hear the raw waveforms and hear Éanna speak about his setup.
