This chapter follows Marino.
He first joined PlayAlchemist as a camper in 2023. This year, he stepped into the build, bringing his real-world LED expertise with him.
Only the most eagle-eyed of you may have spotted it, but the capstone was lit for the first time ever with custom programming. One precise contribution, layered into many others. This is how impact works here: small, intentional efforts combining into something unmistakably bigger.
Beyond the tech, Marino brought an incredible spirit to the build. Consistent, committed, and fully present, he showed up with care and dedication — the kind that strengthens the team as much as the structure itself.

Our next segment comes from Brian, or BEAST, who leads our Ground Structures team with steady hands, endless grit, and the kind of reliability that anchors an entire build. He has shaped this crew through countless seasons, showing up year after year with the same fire, skill, and endless commitment, being one of the last men standing at strike.
This year he played a major role in the build and still found room for a major life moment: He got married on playa, with his family there to witness it, folding one of the most meaningful days of his life into the same dust that has held so much of his story with us. 💍🤵🏻👰🏻♀️✨
His experience is a reminder that the build is made up of people with big responsibilities, big heart, and real lives unfolding alongside the work. Our first segment comes from Jens, who returns to us from Germany (go Team 🇩🇪!) year after year and leads our Panel Team with incredible care. Each summer the panel orientation changes and every piece has to be placed and tracked with perfect accuracy. That is more than 720 triangle pieces to manage! Jens handles it with steady leadership, great energy and a clear passion for the work.
Jens works hard and knows how to play hard. You will find him on the dance floor or on stage enjoying the results of his effort, then right back at it for full strike and takedown. 💪🏽
