In 2023, I suffered a sudden onset of Bell’s Palsy. Model hubby and I had booked a trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, prior to my diagnosis and despite still recovering and not feeling quite like myself we decided to go for the trip anyway. I spent a lot of time visiting various thrift and vintage stores, and perhaps the greatest find was @houseofvintagejewelry13 . I think I went back three times, taking my time to explore, to admire, to learn, and to be inspired. That trip was healing and much needed nourishment for the soul. I brought three pairs of earrings with black & white beads back with me, which I repurposed into three new Play, though. creations. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the process of play-making. 🤍

After sculpting the faces, they are dusted with gold pigment, baked, and finally glazed for extra protection. Only then can the embroidery for Beadass creations begin. Always made with love and much care, from me to you ✨
