The #robertoclementebridge #andywarholbridge and #rachelcarsonbridge are the only trio of nearly identical bridges in the world and a true symbol of Pittsburgh innovation
Built between 1924 and 1928, these iconic self-anchored suspension bridges introduced a groundbreaking eyebar-chain design while helping modernize river navigation through the city
Following major restorations completed between 2016 and 2023, the bridges now shine brighter than ever with more than 600,000 programmable LED lights, transforming them into glowing landmarks that celebrate the spirit of the city and add to the jaw-dropping Pittsburgh skyline✨
In 2025, all three bridges were successfully designated as historic landmarks, ensuring these beloved structures will continue to inspire future generations while being a powerful reminder of Pittsburgh’s rich and creative history.

💧 Pittsburgh’s history flows through the Aspinwall & Ross Pumping Stations
Built between 1904–1914, these Beaux Art Classical style buildings played a critical role in delivering clean drinking water to residents and helping combat typhoid during a pivotal time in the city’s history.
Landmarked in 2025, they are now part of Pittsburgh's historic landmarks and remain an essential part of the city's water system more than a century later. 🏛️💙

If you own a large non-residential building in Pittsburgh, benchmarking isn’t optional—it’s required.
Track and report your building’s energy + water use annually to see how it stacks up, cut costs, and boost efficiency. Buildings 50,000+ sq. ft. must submit data each year by June 1 using the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
Why it matters: ✔ Identify inefficiencies ✔ Lower operating costs ✔ Support Pittsburgh’s climate goals

Before it was a park, “Solitude” served as the home and experimental grounds of George Westinghouse where the drilling of natural gas wells and early AC electricity innovation helped shape breakthroughs that changed the world.
Today, Westinghouse Park still carries the imprint of its past with a historic underground tunnel, original stone pathways, and towering mature trees from its days as a private arboretum.
