Testimonial: Sometimes, I be slippin'. I tend to forget what I've done or what I've created. Then, some universal force shows up and reminds me. Even in trying times, all it takes is just a photo to bring me back to reality. My colleague Frank used to work at the Museum of African Art, as I volunteered there under the tutelage of the gracious Dr. Marjorie Ransom (May her soul RIP). This was in the mid to late '90s, when the museum was tucked off Broadway & Houston in Manhattan. There, I learned so much about different African cultures and their relationships with art as functional items in life. The lessons learned there and the larger diasporic impressions will forever influence me and my work. So now I wonder how could I have forgotten about this piece? Created in my old NYU studio, this work, like much of my work, centers a solitary Black figure in contemplation. If memory serves, Frank bought this painting from me around 1997 or "98. Regardless of the exact year, this goes out to you, Frank! Thanks for the reminder, m'brother, and for the many years of real support!!

This piece represents a shift in my creative focus. While experimenting with materials, I recognised how the spills and splotches felt reminiscent of a snapshot of the universe. So I chose to section off the outlining contour with a bold color, in this case a salmon pink. It started a series where outerspace functions as the figure's inner climate. "Cosmos Inside" (Oil on canvas; 60 x 80 cm; 2022) Starting Price: €3310 ($3885) Message me for inquiries.

Today's selection: Number 45 from the Loganic Archive. A painting created during my art residency in Macon in 2017. This work reveals a figure twisting through an ordeal. Vibrating with emotion yet facing it all with a calm demeanor. At least, that's how I interpret it. What impression does it give you? "Situational Whirlwind" (Oil on canvas; 60 x 50 cm; 2017) Starting Price: €1550 ($1825) Message me for inquiries.

I'm getting more direct in putting prices on my work. Not to be crass, but my pieces have started to back up on me. Honestly, I gotta move the work and find homes for these pieces. So I've started posting pics of each available work from the storehouse. Direct message me for inquiries. Today's piece: The result of a live painting session, completed 10 years ago, the abstract narrative within this piece still feels as energetic as the process of painting it. A personal favorite from the archive. "Flit the Feel Fantastic" (Acrylic on canvas; 205 x 125 cm; 2016) Starting price: €4500 ($5300)

Live painting has been a part of my practice for years. Whether leaving unsuspecting viewers “Giftaways”, pieces created & left in places I visited, or just tacking a canvas to a wall outside my studio, spontaneous creating with a potential audience is like visual freestyling for me. And I often loved the random interactions and conversations I had with passerbyes. Working outside a studio generates an overall aura of creativity in air that’s difficult for me to fully explain. So let me show you. Tomorrow’s live painting session, with a live DJ, will be a vibe. Come through and be a part of it. Finissage: “Pulses Of Impressions” Fri, 19 Dec 2025 18:00 - 22:00 Galerie GH36 Große Hamburger Straße 36 10115 Berlin #livepainting #spontaneouscreativity #outsidethestudio #finissage #gh36

What a lovely weekend it was with @fabien.dettori and @chloeguisan A great exhibition, nice people, good discussions, artist talk and holiday buying. But as time moves, so do we. Coming up this Friday evening 12.12 will be the final exhibition of the year from a lovely Berlin based USA painter, mixed media artist, DJ and soundscape composer @planetloganic “Pulses Of Impressions” Christopher “Loganic” Logan As a visual artist and DJ for more than 30 years, Christopher “Loganic” Logan often sought ways to merge artmaking and sound shaping in his creations. Long hours of crafting thematic sound collages or fusing vinyl records, cassettes and other music media into his paintings led to in-depth sonic essays and various experimental paintings. For this exhibition we have selected a swarth of drawings and paintings that represent Logan’s visual impression of sound. “Pulses Of Impressions” highlights his unique approaches to creating visual works with inherit sonic feelings. The work explores soulfully rendered expressions, the rhythm of mark-making, mixing media and the laying of textures. Logan’s works are fueled by rhythms, waves of energy, through which, as a vessel, he exposes momentary moods. Some characters dance through their situations. Others appear meditative. Somehow the soundtracks of their conditions are often implied. We welcome you for a night of art, original soundscapes and discussion. #artexhibition #painting #drawing #mixedmedia #soundscape #berlinmitte #berlin #culture #lifeisgood #sunnywinter #makeartnotwar #austellung #notrend #real #goodtimes
