Our research found that 8 in 10 parents worry about their daughtersâ safety in public, underlining just how normalised fear has become for many girls growing up in the UK.
This moment must not derail action to tackle violence against women and girls. Government commitments must translate into sustained action, properly funded prevention work and meaningful protections for girls both online and offline.
