Our good friends Spicers invited us to print this exhibition of incredible work by @gregelmsphoto to be displayed at the recent 2025 Pac Print trade show. Here’s a little behind the scenes and prints on display, we think they came out tremendously well! #printedbypixel using a curated range of @hahnemuehle_imaging 100% cotton archival fine papers using @epsonaust fineart inks. Opening night for Uncertain Truths by @scottperkinsphoto at @michaelreidsydney last night. A fabulous turnout for some groundbreaking work.
Illuminated within bespoke, architecturally formed light-box displays and natural timber frames, the artist’s deceptively spare, elegantly abstracted landscapes are alive with a brooding poeticism, elemental drama and captivating nuance achieved through extraordinary technical finesse.
n Uncertain Truths, Perkins pares back his seascapes to a near-abstract interplay of monochrome forms, fine lines and shimmering metallic grey washes. “None is overtly identifiable,” says Perkins of the far-flung locations he lensed for the series, which included coastal Italy, Tasmania, the Kimberley and New Zealand. “I like that. Nature is a great leveller.” This ambiguity lends his work a dreamlike aura, with horizons dissolving into hazy skies whose silvery gradations and granular inflections fizz like smatterings of celestial matter.

This reel shows my capture and creative process for Summer Whispers. I follow what feels right in the moment, letting the water lead, then return later with intention, shaping what’s revealed beneath the surface. What begins as something spontaneous slowly opens into something more layered, more emotional.
In the blue water, I kept noticing glimpses of yellow - subtle, quiet echoes of a summer’s afternoon sun - so I decided to bring out the glowing yellow in the image in the editing process to align with my experience of the moment. Let me know if this piece speaks to you - and how! ☺️
