Quick Update from the Plate!I’ll be deep diving into recovery and rest for the remainder of 2025 Apologies if I’ve missed some emails. Please reach out to my great mate Wal @bush_icecreamery for any catering or event enquiries. Wal and his team are INCREDIBLE!Unfortunately ongoing nerve and back pain have taken some joy out of life this year. Munching painkillers is not a good idea long term, your body will eventually give up… I finally had surgery last month. Unfortunately, it wasn’t successful and I’m now booked for a disc replacement in a few weeks. A kick in the guts but I’ll be back in 2026 even more grateful for the active, adventurous life I’ve missed.Thank you all for your patience, love, and support XxPipPlease enjoy @walfoster delivering my coffee post surgery and a beautiful card drawn by Nic from my beautiful pals. @fabiosilvestre

Last night @pipsplate took over the 100 Mile Table kitchen and cooked the most incredible @hibachitabo feast … yakitori chicken and shiitake skewers, Vietnamese pork with nuoc cham, seared local fish with ginger oil and sambal, sticky rice and wombok salad. All cooked over coals, all absolutely delicious.Thank you Pip! She’ll be back in the kitchen next month with @grit_ceramics - tickets selling fast, link in bio

6 months this week since the bionic back surgery. Still feel so grateful. Apparently fishing is a superb core work out but you need to catch fish double this size to build the strength! I’M READY!Very fun hangs a while back with @elisetrigger @maori_jew_jitsu (fisherman stunt double extraordinaire ) @markwelshphoto @jonfromyesterday @grammachathamThank you @markwelshphoto for the pics

Agghhh man life. Beloved mates, chaos and adventure. Over a month late but a huge thank you to Gryllsy, Grimmie, Jo & Tom for inviting us back and welcoming us into the island bubble… with all the bubbles.After six long months of injury, time away from the surf and a big career pause, this trip made me smile hard again! Could have done without the fish hook to the finger (trigger warning) but hey, keep things interesting….
