Was popping on here to post this cute little pic and let you know that I’m working on a restock of OG mugs for the website this June. But as I was posting I found that a rabbit is raising (at least one that I can see) baby kits in my backyard. Which is something I’d had a hunch about after seeing some teeny movements out of the corner of my eye over the last few mornings. But today I got to see them sniffing around and exploring.
So now I’m honestly a little unsure if I still do pottery, or if this backyard oasis I’ve been working on is becoming my full personality? June restock might be tiny. We’ll see. But anyways, I’m making some OG mugs next week, let me know if there are any colors you’d like to see!
I only remember eating these on Sunday mornings, and only ever made by my dad. And I realize as I write this, that we don’t pronounce the “and” in “PB&J”. It’s simply, peanut butter jelly. Or in this case, fried peanut butter jelly. The ampersand is silent, if you will…

Making so many plates and place-settings over these last few years really has me thinking about the meals that feel nostalgic- like this one. I’m so curious to know if this was a delicacy in anyone else’s house growing up? Let me know! And PLEASE let me know if you decide to try one. Tip: put peanut butter on both sides of the bread, jelly in the middle, for the full drippy effect. You can also substitute mayo for butter as your outside oil for a nice little tang!
I’m using the Salad Plate in these pics- I love the smaller size for sammiches!
Today is the day! The spring session of our 8 week classes, and all of our fun spring “Clay Pals” workshops officially kicks off this week! I’m excited to meet all of our new 8 week friends joining the studio this week- it’s giving me first day of school vibes and jitters. I’ve been in the studio organizing our materials, testing new glazes, and labeling new student shelves all weekend. It reminds me of when I was in elementary school, and I’d use a few days of my summer to help my Grandma Reedy set up her classroom for the school year. She was a school teacher and I loved the afternoons I would spend helping her hang her posters on the wall, and get her desks organized in the layout she wanted for the year. She would even put me in charge of cutting out little shapes and letters to decorate her bulletin boards around the room. A creative liberty that I took VERY seriously.
Our upcoming summer session has also just been released on the website! Our June 3 week and our July/Aug 8 week are now open for registration. I’ll be adding a few one-day events to the site as we get a little closer to June, but just a heads up that we’ll be offering a smaller amount of those classes during our summer session. Because hellloooo, we live in a beach town and summer is meant to be lived outside with a hotdog in hand!!
A few of our April/May classes and workshops still have space available for you if you’re hoping to snag a seat. I’m so excited for these upcoming (JAM PACKED) months. What a dream. See you in the studio very soon! Maybe I’ll try to hang and decorate a bulletin board at some point over these next few months, just for nostalgia’s sake.
It turns out, little Jess is the antidote. Her life’s wishes and dreams that have come true because of the studio. Her memories that fuel my creativity. And I think sharing more of those memories and tall tales is like medicine for the red-hot anger I was carrying around. I’m grateful for the Post and for this blog as a place to tell you a little bit about how I grew up and the people who filled my life with so much color. Because those stories matter, and because those stories are mine. Almost like a stake in the ground that says, “Little Jess was here.”

My most recent journal entry on The Post got a little more honest about why I wanted to start a blog in the first place, how it feels when my hard work and business is copied (hint- it sucks), and why making plates makes me feel homesick for childhood. Your first month of The Post is free, so let me know if you read it ❤️
See ya there!
My first website sale with @thepass_pineapplestudios is happening Friday, April 3! Pieces will be available to purchase Friday, Sat, and Sunday. I’ll spend that following Mon and Tues getting your pieces shipped out and organizing orders for local pickup. I’m so excited for The Pass to have it’s online debut and I’m even more giddy at the thought of these pieces becoming a part of your daily life at home. Mark your calendars to shop the lineup on @pineapplestudios site, and heck- if you’re local why not sign up for a class while you’re at it?!
I’ve got a whole bunch of plates, bowls and mugs coming with me to the @markethouseilm this Thursday 5-9! Come grab a glass of wine while you shop some smiley mugs and collect a few pieces from my line of dinnerware with @thepass_pineapplestudios
The nice thing about @thepass_pineapplestudios is you can gradually expand your dinnerware set as your budget allows. I’ll be adding a few new shapes and colors throughout the year, so you can get playful with your colors, how many pieces you have, etc. Find me at Market House this Thurs (3/19) from 5-9! If you’re a 2026 or 2027 bride wanting to get info on renting pieces for your wedding- come see me!
Feeling proud of myself! Just finished our 8 week series- which is so bittersweet because it was honestly so much fun and everyone did amazing! Jan and Feb were busy with classes which makes time just kinda fly right by. And I’ve been really putting in so much work on the side to gear up for a website restock later this month (or maybe early April?) and not to mention the studio made bowls for the Empty Bowls event which is just around the corner. And I’m just feeling proud because I really like the things I’ve been making lately, I like all the creative ideas I feel buzzing around in my head, and I’ve even made quite a few things over the last 8 weeks that I’ve never made before; including one vanilla coconut cake which wasn’t made out of clay but I still think I did a good job.
Anyways, life doesn’t really give out report cards so I just wanted to take a moment to check in and let everyone know that things have been going well and I’m doing a good job!
A heap of photos from my film camera I should have shared forever ago, but never felt like taking the 8 minutes to actually do it.
Transparently, mornings are really my only time to be on here. And, well, I got a bird feeder for Christmas; which I hung just outside my bedroom window. And now, my mornings are completely swamped with making sure there is still bird seed inside, wondering why no birds are eating yet, then suddenly overwhelmed when they all arrive at one time- it’s like working the dinner rush. Then there is the whole drama of the squirrels, which I don’t even want to get started on.
So, I’ll probably be on here less and less as I’m sure you understand. Come see me IRL at the studio for a class- the mess is very very fun!
Pineapple Studios & Perennial Harbor have partnered up with 2 dreamy ways to help you celebrate Valentines Day/Galentines Day this year!
Option One is for those of you wanting to get a little crafty. We’ll be hosting a vase-making workshop at @pineapplestudios on 2/6 where you’ll create your very own custom vase. Then, you’ll pickup your vase the following week at @perennialharbor where it will be filled with a gorgeous bouquet of tulips and roses.
Option 2 is for anyone wanting to leave the vase-making to the professionals. This option includes a handmade cylinder vase by @thepass_pineapplestudios filled with a bouquet of tulips and roses by @perennialharbor
Regardless of which option you choose, you’ll be able to spend Valentine’s Day, admiring your arrangement, gifting it to your crush, or picking petals in a forlorn “loves me, loves me not” kind of way. Totally up to you!!
Links in bio for both options!
