One of the most heart-warming parts of visiting schools is to see the Picker Pals class report albums built up over the years of Picker Pals activity.
Each time a child takes home the pack, they complete a report showing off thier achievement. This report includes what they picked, where they picked and who they picked with and also give a chance for creativity and drawing the litter-pick or adding a photo.
As the years go by, these albums are such a gorgeous record of the cumulative collaborative action that builds up week on week.
Thanks to Ms. Gilligan for showing us the albums from St Andrewâs NS Curragha, County Meath. We loved seeing how treasured they were and how beautifully presented - a true source of inspiration and joy in local child-led stewardship.
This takes some courage to post.
Described as a wounded donkey on the dance floor with the voice of a strangled seagull, itâs always nice for Patrick to shake a leg in front of a less discerning (and frankly, captive) audience.
Here we can see him teaching the children of St Andrewâs NS Curragha, County Meath the moves to the Picker Pals song.
Thanks for the warm welcome today and special thanks to Ms Gilligan - an absolute star Picker Pals teacher of many years standing in the programme.
The roadshow continues. Thanks BMW Ireland.
And so the Roadshow 2026 begins. And itâs another brand new BMW iX3 all-electric Pickermobile to take us around the country for the rest of the school year.
The gorgeously decorated tailpipe-emissions-free chariot spun down to Naas in the iX1 thanks to BMW Ireland. Arriving to a warm welcome from the boys and girls of Mercy Convent Primary School who had used their sweet wrappers to create a sweet Picker Pals welcome message. This is a school who adopted Picker Pals at least three year ago and have been one of our star participants, enjoying every part of the programme from the competitions to the Zoom calls to the fun of it all.
Even Craig the crab was a celeb when he came out of the suitcase to meet the kids. Thanks to all the teachers who made the visit such fun. Youâre great Picker Pals!
Itâs very surreal seeing Picker Pals on Nationwide on Wednesday, and the kids were just as excited as we were. A full 10-minute feature combining the Picker Pals TV Club kids behind the scenes with our own YouTube footage, combined with multiple interviews PLUS classroom footage PLUS out and about litter-picking footage while telling the story of our programme. If youâd like to catch a glimpse of us on the big telly, weâve put the link in the bio for you to rewatch. Weâre extremely grateful to the kids who work so hard and voice ireland team who support us. So whatâs next?
Congratulations Patrick and Picker pals, Howthâs Cloak is becoming famous! Thank You for all you do! #sdggoals #biodiversity #take3forthesea #keephowthgreen #nationwide
