I’m sharing this to honour the truth - the beautiful, messy reality of being human. Instagram rarely shows the growing pains of this human experience. May this be a reminder to meet each other with kindness, love, and compassion. We need community more than ever. Lets walk hand in hand, heart beat to heart beat, step by step, as one unified organism of life & death, grief and gratitude 🦋

Meet Phoebe Maria @soulfocus_media , 📷 Photographer and Film Director from the UK 🇬🇧. Phoebe is passionate about feminine empowerment 💟, amplifying the voices of Indigenous communities, and reconnecting people with Mother Earth 🌍. “Through soulful imagery, my mission is to reconnect people to the beauty, wonder, and fragility of our world - inspiring them to protect it. Whether it’s the wisdom reflected in the gaze of an Indigenous elder, the intimate bond between a mother and her calf, or through a ancient ceremony in the depths of the Sumbanese wilderness. Each frame is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to honour all living beings, and our responsibility to safeguard them for generations to come.” - Phoebe. A key highlight of the trip for her was witnessing the dance between a mother 🐋 and her calf. 📷 @harperdammannsmith , Phoebe Maria. #Photography #FemaleEmpowerment #OceanWomen #Ocean #Storytelling #Tonga #HumpbackWhale

🐋 a window in.. On last New Year’s Eve, I sat in quiet reflection and asked myself: “When did I feel most alive and at peace last year, and how can I shape a life around that feeling?” The answer came immediately - I was in Sardinia, alone in the sea, swimming for hours among jellyfish. No fear, pure presence, childlike joy, and a deep remembering of my mermaid ways. Water has always been my home. I was born asleep into a bath during a home birth, already held by its safety. As an Aquarius, the water bearer, the sea has always been my medicine. Even as a baby, when I cried, my parents would gently place me in water and I would instantly relax, as though my body had always remembered. If I had shared with my younger self (in slide 2) that this year she would be finally doing the dreams she’s always wanted to do - photographing humpback whales, her excitement would have been beyond words. She always knew… that her destiny was within the waters. .. and this is just the beginning Photographing with the intention of creating imagery that not only stirs emotion but also serves as an act of resistance - a visual language for conservation, awakening awareness, and inspiring positive change in our world 🐋 - now that is what life is about Thank you to my dear friend @carterkirilenko for capturing me in my froggy ways 🐸 🧜🏽‍♀️ 📸- @canonusa R5 | 15-35 RF f/2.8L @nauticamhousings

A mother’s love - runs deeper than the ocean itself. 🐋 Whales, these ancient guardians of the oceans, share a bond with their young that is both tender and fierce. A humpback mother will nurse her calf with milk so rich it’s almost half fat, ensuring it grows strong enough to survive the open ocean. For months, she sacrifices her own nourishment - fasting during long migrations, to sustain this new life. Whales are known as “ecosystem engineers,” their movements helping to circulate nutrients and sustain marine life far beyond their own kind. When calves are endlessly playful - breaching, rolling, tail-slapping, even nudging their mothers with bursts of energy. And while it looks like joy (and perhaps it is), science shows this play is also practice: building strength, learning balance, and developing the survival skills they’ll need to travel thousands of miles across the seas. But this tender dance is also fragile. Ship strikes, entanglement in fishing gear, ocean noise, and climate change threaten their migrations and the communication between mothers and calves. These creatures don’t just belong to the sea - they shape it. So when we protect them, we’re not just safeguarding whales - we’re protecting the heartbeat of the ocean itself. Love, in this case, becomes not only a bond between mother and calf, but for us to remember our role as guardians too. This week, one of my biggest dreams becomes a reality. I am deeply honoured to be one of only six photographers, conservationists, and scientists chosen for an extraordinary project in Tonga. Together, we will create visual artistry that honour and protects the whales - these ancient, wise guardians of the deep, while amplifying indigenous culture and carrying out vital DNA sampling to explore the vast diversity within cetacean species. I am so grateful to walk alongside @10percentfortheocean - carrying a mission that channels resources directly back into conservation - safeguarding the waters that regulate our climate and the beings who gift us breath. In partnership with @arksenadventures - we’re we recreate the meaning of travel: not as tourists, but as participants in regeneration - ensuring the places we touch emerge more vibrant, wilder, and alive then before! This is more than a project. It is a reminder that our actions ripple through generations - that the choices we make today shape the health of our oceans tomorrow. By listening to the wisdom of the whales, whose songs echo across thousands of miles, by honouring the oceans that regulate our climate and produce more than half of the oxygen we breathe, and by learning from indigenous voices who have always held this knowledge, we take a step toward restoring balance 🌊🐋✨ I am so excited to share this journey with you all! 🤍🐋

🕊️ I once heard that when we hear the song of birds, our nervous system softens, instinctively. That something ancient in us exhales. Because somewhere in our ancestry, we knew when the birds are singing, it means we’re safe. It means no predator is near, no storm is coming, no war. Their melodies were the sound of stillness, of peace, of safety. So when we are in the city, surrounded by concrete and sirens and mechanical hums, we often feel a kind of dis-ease. An unspoken tension. Something that feels out of rhythm. And that’s because it is. The city is missing that natural soundscape our nervous systems evolved with. It’s missing the cues that tell us: you are safe, you belong, all is well. Our bodies, our spirits - they remember the songs of the earth. The rustle of trees, the call of birds, the flowing of water. These sounds aren’t just beautiful. They are regulators, tuning our system back into harmony with life itself. Let’s start, breath by breath - bringing ourselves back home.. into relation with nature once again 🤍🧚🏼 Adorned in @saulisoulwear Sat upon @wanderingfolk Surrounded by @meadowsweetretreat

When I arrive to a new place, this is the first practice I come to. A heart-led way of meeting the land, through the breath, through the body. Breathing out as an offering… breath returned as a gift from the earth… This gentle exchange reminds me I am in relationship with the land, not separate, not above, but with. I begin with a few drops of @wilder.botanics Healing Heart flower essence with agrimony and white chestnut. Softening any inner chatter, to open to the moment, and to settle more fully in the heart space. As I move, I hold a simple word or prayer in my heart - an intention for how I wish to be in this place, and how I wish to receive what the land offers in return. A practice of connection. A practice of belonging. One you can bring anywhere. With love, Phoebe x

🜃 How does the land commune with you?
Maybe not within the words we know today, but in symbols… in vibration… within the shimmering light of synchronicity? As our hearts offered tobacco and prayers of gratitude to this 100-million-year-old sacred boulder, the sun began to drape the landscape in gold. Vincent turned to me and said—“If we are still enough and allow ourselves to truly see - our ancestors live within these rocks” Exhaling.. would it mean to listen with our WHOLE being? We softened our gaze..
And there - emerging from the ancient stone we had just danced upon; she revealed herself.
A woman.
A mother.
Mid-birth.
Her mouth wide open, primal, earthly roar into the nights sky - a child waiting to be born. Have you ever witnessed something so ancient and true, it stirred a memory in your bones? This was one of those moments 🌀 Goosebumps of deep faith restored within our nervous systems A recollection and remembrance of something that is so intrinsically woven within our DNA Igniting memory, pure presence and joy within our bones, our blood, our cells How much will we allow ourselves to be clouded by the illusion of the mundane - until we choose to listen and allow the mystery of the universe to flood our bones with love 🦋 📷 @visuals_by_vincent

This may have been one of the most beautiful, and most challenging, location dinner setups Meadowsweet has ever created. If you know me, you know I live for a magic moment meal. We’ve set tables in forests, meadows, vineyards, and even balanced them on mossy rocks beside rivers. It lights me up ✨ My time at @bluehillfarm inspired me a lot. It showed me that eating could be a full-body, soul-deep, senses-wide-open experience. And that experience could happen anywhere. For four years, I walked past this tiny, forgotten church, peering through its dusty windows and dreaming. One day, I found the key in an old box and knew this was our next setting. We scrubbed it clean, filled it with flowers (thank you @hayleyscottblooms @lara.hirst ), and hung our paintings like a gallery space (@harliebriggsart_ ). Then we gathered—surprised our guests with a feast, turned it into a place of wonder. Since then, we’ve prayed inside those walls, lit candles for the ones we love, and sung to the stars with @samleesong . Now, as we gently begin to pack up and say goodbye to this beloved land, I find myself full of gratitude, for what we built, what we felt, what we shared. Here’s to new beginnings, magic moments, and all the gatherings still to come. 🤍

May we integrate the old ways...
The prayers still rise.
The land still listens. How do we choose to use our voices in this time?
As we become present to the whoosh of the wind, we feel its wings remind us: that we too are the rushing rivers, and the eagles that cry. Can you believe that the wind has the capacity to carry our voices, our prayers, our intentions to the farthest corners of the Earth?
It is the unseen messenger - the bridge between our hearts and the vastness of existence. As a photographer, I come not to capture, but to offer.
The intention behind Soulfocus Media is to support a living prayer —
a thread of remembrance carried by the breath of the Earth and the creatures who inhabit it.
A story that longs to be witnessed, to be felt, to be honoured. And so I ask you; ⋒ What moves you?
⋒ What creates a ripple of vibrancy through your bones and sparks your inner light?
⋒ What prayer lives within you, longing to be carried on the wind? May we listen.
May we create with reverence.
May we remember that every word, every image, every breath we release into the world becomes part of the great weaving. ⊹ In deep gratitude to the land, the animals, the ancestors, and to the original peoples — and the ones who are remembering — who continue to tend the sacred fires of memory and belonging. ❖ A 1-1 mentorship spot has opened up in the Soulfocus Facilitator Program, if you are interested in knowing more DM - SOUL ⋒ Thank you @visuals_by_vincent for these images of me 🌞
