We're lucky to have this gorgeous little Mexican cultural hub in the heart of Phibsborough. Great to have them on our programme again this year. Texture of Colour Exhibition continues until 10 June. Pop down and have a look #mexicanculture #festivals #visualarts

Can you guess the prompt that inspired these masterpieces? For the special @phizzfest edition of Sketchbook Club we haf to do the obvious thing - solicit alternatives to the @twinlite_com redesign of Phibsboro shopping centre - the weirder the better. Sketchbook Club is a monthly guided drawing workshop in Brussels (and sometimes Dublin) hosted by me, @selkies_ All skill-levels are welcome, get in touch for more info, or to be added to our mailing list for future events.

A couple of highlights from PhizzFestival favourite, and now in its 5th year - The Saturday Evening Supplement. A packed card once again brought a lively mix of trad music, song and spoken word. This year’s guests included renowned songstress @niamhparsonsofficial , accompanied by Graham Dunne, poets John Cummins (aka @shakalakdublin ) and Rue McQuinan, and the evergreen ‘Saturday Evening Trad Ensemble’ rounding out the evening - a rich showcase of our local Community’s musical talent. 🙏 as ever to @seamus_mcgeough and his most excellent colleagues @thebohemianpub … 🙏 for 📸 to Áine Brennan!

Neither Time nor Beauty are Absent, our exhibition exploring the 1960s built Dublin Industrial Estate, continues today @daylightglasnevin from 12pm-5pm. Join us today from 1pm-2pm for our 'In Conversation' with the artists and special guests. The show explores the industrial estate across time through mapping, creative writing, photography and a video. At first glance the industrial estate seems to be a 'non- place' - desolate and alienating. We have peered behind these uninviting facades and discovered a diverse variety of activities and a richness of stories among people working here. A Masterplan to completely transform the industrial estate into a mixed-use residential area was adopted by the city council in January this year. We explore the sense of community that exists today and wonder what happens the many businesses, large and small, that have evolved here since 1966.
