Welcome to the club. I figured I should probably introduce myself just so y'all know the face behind the page. I'm Henry, a Philly native and cyclist for the past 10 years. I got into fixed gear bikes almost immediately after getting into bikes in general. The fixie phase never left and after a few years of riding, I've been longing for a solid community of fixed riders in Philly. I haven't really found a group for it, so I figured I'd make one myself. This group is intended for like-minded, chill folks looking to mash thru the city and beyond. Obviously the group is centered around fixed bikes, but all bikes are welcome join. Just be ready to haul ass. 💪🏽

Sunday May 17th Meet at The Porch at 30th St Reg at 2PM, race at 3PM Entry $: $10-15 sliding scale or a half-hour of your pay Finish: Statue of Tamanend (Front and Market) Reg fees go into a winner's pot which will be split between 🥇 Open and 🥇 WTF. In addition, first out of town in both categories gets $100. Cash will be for BRAKELESS RACERS ONLY. More prizes and goodies for podium placers in both categories, regardless of your bike setup as long as it's human-powered. After everyone finishes, we'll roll on out as a group to Penn Treaty Park to do the podium. Some brews and grub will be provided.

In honor of the mind-bending ride taken back in 1943 by Albert Hofmann, I’m hosting the second annual Bicycle Day Alleycat in Philadelphia PA. It’s a race, a scavenger hunt, a group ride, a party, or just another day riding your bike around the city. Whatever you believe or want it to be, it is. Your mind may be more powerful than you think. Bring a Lock, Bag / Basket, Pen & Helmet. 28c+ Tires and or a patch kit recommended but certainly not required. 10$ entry, with the pot being split between 1st place: - Mens - Womens - Trans/Gender Non-Conforming And $100 cash to 1st out-of-town in each of those 3 categories Prizes for: Overall, Women’s, Trans+GNC, 1st Fixed, 1st Out of Town, 1st Timer, 1st 50+, DFL, 1st Basket Bike, & a secret category that will be revealed at registration I’ll have some shirts printed by @pinkbikeralph with this years poster design on them available for sale day of.
