📢 Mental Health Awareness Week is here! 💚
This week, we’re shining a spotlight on the importance of good mental health, breaking down stigma, and celebrating the theme “Every Action Counts”. Because the smallest steps really do make the biggest difference.
Over the past 10 months, we’ve been proud to work with Martyn Wagstaff from Springfield Advisory, delivering workshops, face-to-face sessions, and insightful podcasts and resources available on our SharePoint. We’re excited to welcome Martyn back on-site next week!
We’ve also partnered with @case_uk2016 to offer free Occupational, Psychological, and Physical Therapy support through the Welsh Government-funded In-Work Support Service. Thank you to Alun for making the onboarding process easy! In addition to our corporate gym membership with Leisure for Life, we encourage our staff to make use of these services.
We will soon be reviewing this year’s company awards nominations – especially our “Wellbeing Weaver” nominees, who are making a real difference by introducing positive initiatives that boost morale and improve our work environment.
Every Action Counts. Whether it’s reaching out for support, using the gym, or simply checking in on a colleague, your actions matter. #mentalhealthawareness #wellbeing #teamcare
A proud moment for the team! 🏆
On Friday afternoon, we had the pleasure of attending the Institute of Directors Wales Awards at the ICC in Newport. Our CEO, Simon, was shortlisted in the highly competitive Skills Development category — and we’re delighted to announce that he won Director of the Year in his category!
This recognition is a true reflection of our strategic commitment to investing in training and development, empowering our team to grow, evolve, and seize new opportunities. Congratulations to all the worthy winners and everyone who got shortlisted. We were also impressed by @dofeuk ambassador Tegwen who stepped up on the stage to tell us about her Duke of Edinburgh experience, what an inspiring young lady! 👏
In his closing remarks, Professor Simon Gibson shared two powerful messages that really resonated with us:
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
He also reminded us that businesses must keep evolving, build together, and create space for others to flourish.
As we reflect on our journey, there’s no doubt both statements ring true. None of this would be possible without our team embracing every challenge and growing alongside us. Thank you all. We look forward to celebrating our very own company awards at the end of June!
Here’s to building further, together 🚀

👉 Spotlight on Stuart: Six Sigma Green Belt in Action!
Last week, Stuart delivered a strong final presentation on his Green Belt project, focused on improving the utilisation of our Komax cut and strip machine.
Given the large variety of looms we build, he concentrated his analysis on our higher-volume products. His project charter clearly defined the mission, goal, objectives, critical success factors, as well as restrictions, assumptions, and constraints. He mapped the process using a SIPOC diagram and applied the full DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) to drive the improvements.
The objective was to increase the number of looms we can prep on the cutting machine while improving accuracy on wire lengths and reducing waste.
Congratulations on your certification and the results you’ve delivered so far!
This continues the momentum from the whole cohort’s presentations at the end of March. We’re excited to see these Green Belt projects making a real difference across our operations!
A huge thank you to @ysgol.gyfun.rhydywaun for inviting us to your Girls in STEM Club today! 🌟
