I’m deeply saddened by the loss of a musical father. Michael Tilson Thomas was a major influence and inspiration for me in my early career and continued to be an inspiration for years to come. Without MTT and the New World Symphony I truly believe I wouldn’t have the rewarding musical journey I’ve traveled. He encouraged me to dig deep, better myself and my understanding of music and the stories we tell. He supported me and trusted in me to extend my time in Miami while I got my act together. He was insistent and forgiving. I cherished the continued friendship and professional relationship with him and Joshua for many years. I miss them both and hope they are resting well together. Rest in Peace, Michael.
