Vocalist @abywolf reframes the music with a powerful, distinctive voice while staying true to Geddy Lee’s spirit. @t01vo captures the tone and phrasing, @blueautumnmusic builds the textures, and the rhythm section drives it all forward.
Healey’s performance behind the kit is a reminder of how much ground there is to cover when stepping into Neil Peart’s world.

This guy. What can this guy say about himself? Well, let’s stick to the facts. Die hard Rush head since 1983. First Rush album heard: Moving Pictures. Favorite Rush album: Power Windows (first one bought with my own money, first tour I saw 3/25/86 St Paul Civic Center). Saw OG Rush 10 times. Will see at least two shows on the upcoming 50 Something Tour. I am so incredibly grateful to my bandmates for embracing the madness of assembling and presenting a performance of Rush music. It’s like some sort of dream getting to play this music for audiences. I appreciate everyone who supports @phantomfearsmn . We have a cRUSH on Rush and we are bringing the music to you!📸 @iangibbsphoto@double_bates
Day four. Band appreciation posts. Cory Healey @pizza_burrito_jr - cofounder of Phantom Fears and super brother to me. When we first talked about playing Rush together and honoring our fallen hero, Neil Peart, it felt natural and aligned with so many of our shared values as musicians and humans. We both have deep roots in jazz and improvisation so we decide to take that connection and play - super composed Rock music together!!! We have both realized that our love of Rush drives us to perform this music at the highest level we can. It’s been a most fulfilling few years as we have built this band together. Looking forward to more shows and more rehearsing????? Yep. It takes a lot of reps. We love Cory!!! 📸 @iangibbsphoto
Day 3. Band appreciation post. Re: Cory Eischen @blueautumnmusic Keyboards! Sequences! Synth Bass! Sound Effects! The search for the true role player, willing to activate the programs and run behind the scenes. It took some time to find Cory. I’ve know him for a long time, back to my record store days, when he would educate me about Prince. His superfandom of the great purple one rivals my own super nerd knowledge of Rush. Turns out he just needed a little prompting and Presto, he’s a Rush fan now. We love Cory! 📸 @iangibbsphoto
Next up on band member appreciation posts - @t01vo ! He was the third puzzle piece to fall in place after Healer and I started the band. Toivo brings our median age down by a decade and brings our musical execution up by 100%! I’ve known him for over 10 years and watched him become one of the most sought after improvisers around here in the last 5 years! He also can shred, and write great songs. His work in capturing the tonal range and musical phrasing of Alex Lifeson’s style is remarkable. He’s the glue between the bass and drums. We love Toivo! All photos by @iangibbsphoto
So much to say about each band member, but let’s start with the incomparable @abywolf ! She brings her vast experience and powerful presence to the stage every show. Her ability to get inside a song and embody the message with her unmistakeable vocal abilities is the reason we knew she would be the perfect voice for @phantomfearsmn . We know you will hear the music and songs of Rush from a different perspective when she sings for you!
