Hello friends and comrades, I am once again fundraising for my students! I'm teaching a summer class called "Art as Activism", and I'm soooo excited about it!! However, art supplies are e x p e n s i v e. We also want to bring in local artists and community groups for workshops and compensate them for their time. If you've ever talked to me, you know how much I love my students, ethnic studies, and arts in education. It would mean the world if you supported this critical and vital work. Link is in bio!

The winds were extremely harsh…
They were not just air, but a storm that broke our tent and tore apart what little safety we had left.
The tent that once protected us from the cold and the rain is now damaged,
and the ground is filled with mud and stones. There is no longer a place where we can feel warmth or security.
What hurts more than the winds…
is the silence.
The donations that once reached us have greatly decreased,
as if the pain has ended.
But the truth is, our suffering is still ongoing,
and today may be even harder than before.
I am sad…
Deeply sad, in a way that words cannot fully describe.
Sad because the tent was broken,
and even more sad because hope is slowly fading.
We still need a humanitarian stand with us.
We still need your support.
Please, do not leave us alone 💔😔

Veracity Von Vixen (she/her): Darlings, the name is Veracity Von Vixen, and I'm here to inject a little more harmony, a whole lot of sexiness, and an overflowing cup of love into this fabulous town! You're welcome in advance.
King Calavera (KC) (they/them): Born from misery and raised on Ranchera, King Calavera was raised from the dead the day they realized the moment you enter someone’s head, you live on inside them forever. They do not take this responsibility lightly. So after 20 years of vocal training in Rachera, Opera, and Show Tunes, they have thrown on their black dress to testify as one who has walked with the Black Parade.

They sing solo and with their band, Tierra Suelta, an all-trans and enby fusion band, and are an aerialist with Zaccho Dance Theater. His artistry is a testament to their upbringing in the vibrant, artistic community of La Mission.
