“The Photo Project” an 8 week photography course at the OC Juvenile Hall made possible by @projectkinship
This originated in a brainstorm with the PK team about what we can do differently to uplift and inspire the youth (cc @kevion 🙏🏽✨) at the juvenile hall while teaching a useful trade they could possibly use when released. It felt like a shoot for the stars concept for a couple of reasons. It had never been done before with incarcerated youth, the idea of bringing cameras into the facility felt like an automatic no, and a majority of the crew I wanted involved, myself included, did time in that same unit.
It took about two years to get approved. Every time we got close, something came up. @eunniefication kept pushing the program for us, and we were able to start the course mid 2025.
I don’t think anything could have prepared me for what I was stepping into. Walking back into the same cell I once spent time in and hearing the day to day stories, the emotions were heavy. The kids 1000% made the program what it became. They showed up every day ready to learn, ready to create, and fully tapped in. What they produced went beyond anything I could have imagined. To wrap things up, we were able to put on an exhibit so a select few could see their work in a gallery setting and experience real reactions. That was easily the most rewarding part.
Grateful to @projectkinship team for trusting me with this & big s/o to the crew who showed up to share knowledge of our craft @estevanoriol@mannyreel@mrhaack@shotbykvng
“ THE PHOTO PROJECT “ by @projectkinship 🙏🏽✨
We recently spent some time inside the OC Juvenile Hall teaching the basics of photography, then handed the youth cameras and let them tell their own stories through the lens. Watching their ideas come to life and seeing that “I got the shot” feeling click was everything.
To wrap it all up, we’re showcasing their work in a gallery for friends, family, & all of you to see. Proud of these kids and the way they showed up.
Big thank you to the team for making this possible and bringing the great energy to the program every single day. See you all Saturday 📸✨
When: Saturday, February 7th, 2026
Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm

This Saturday we’re showcasing work from “The Photo Project” 📸
An 8-week photography experience led by @pgfilms & @shotbykvng , created to support youth in juvenile hall.
From learning the basics to capturing on their own disposable cameras to hearing from guest speakers like @estevanoriol , these young artists found new ways to express themselves, build confidence, and create meaningful connections.
Come by and check out the powerful work from every participant.
Their stories. Their perspective. Their moment.

Made it back to Cincinnati to visit Maria aka our “Ohio Mom,” a true angel who took us in when I was about two during a situation I'm still not too clear on. Just know it involves my pops being on some Escobar shit, @kevion running out of some police station at 13, a couple of dynamites, and ending about 10 years later with @yogarays_ and I jumping on a Greyhound bus to Miami to find our pops. But in between all that madness, Maria and her family showed us some of the greatest times of our youth years. We were 3 feral little kids from LA, and she showed us this new side of life while instilling knowledge in us that we’ve kept with us to this day. Birthdays, holidays, sports, family road trips—all those core memories we have out there because of her. Love to our @kneippfarm family and grateful for @kevion and @yogarays_ , even though they both left me when they turned 16.
Oh yeah in between all the reminiscing we caught Nas performing #illmatic with the @cincysymphony 🔊✨
Excited to share that for this year’s P&P merch, we teamed up with our good friend @gerardfajardo & his team @alt___r___ego to cook up an iconic Porsche memory featuring @richmulder , beautifully captured by @knowpassion while on set for a KASE listing! Don’t miss out—get yours tomorrow! See you bright and early at the HQ, 8 AM! 🎃✨

Parenting is rad. Last week Milli graduated 1st grade (our first year of homeschool 😬), and for a surprise, I took him to go see his all-time favorite Cudi. Seeing your kid rap/hum tracks you grew up on might be one of the greatest things to witness; highly recommend.
S/o to the young rager for making fatherhood such a fresh experience; he’s really a simple little man: skate, martial arts, music, beach, repeat. True blessings ♾️️
S/o to all the dads out there writing their own playbook while having a good time. Peace to my pops for all the life lessons and for always watching over us 🙏🏽✨
TOKYO. KYOTO. OSAKA.
Couldn’t sleep more than a few hours a night for 9 nights straight. Everyday was an epic dream. Grateful. ✌🏼❤️🇯🇵
