Their portfolio spans global campaigns for Nike, Lego, and Apple, and award-winning audio-visual work for IBM. # Founded in Berlin in 1999, Pfadfinderei is a collective working across graphic design, animation, technology, and communication. Early collaborations include BPitch Control, Modeselektor, Paul Kalkbrenner, and WMF. Their work evolved into touring visuals, large scale productions for Moderat, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiga, Boys Noize, with major acts like U2 and Sunrise Avenue. Today, Pfadfinderei/PFA Studios is a multidisciplinary studio at the border of graphic design, moving image, stage design, and interactive environments. # Santabro (Victoria Mikhaylova) is a media artist, performer creating immersive worlds with live sound. Merging live coding and node-based systems, she develops a hybrid workflow for visuals. She performed at studio dB, Alte Münze, ELSE, Gallery P61, Berlin New Media Week, and more, with screenings at Times Square NYC. Victoria teaches live coding for visuals, sharing her practice with others. # London-born RedFem now Berlin-based DJ & producer, rooted in the rhythmic intensity of the UK music culture and shaped by Berlin’s raw techno underground spirit. He navigates across many sub genres in house music, ranging from minimal, tech house, acid, Dub & more, creating percussive and immersive sound through his standalone drum machines or analog synths. # Berlin-based Mongolian DJ - KINTEL is inspired from sounds she picked up across continents she has lived in: Afrobeats of the Beijing jungle, Surf Rock in Bali, Baile Funk from Lisbon, to deep house in Ulaanbaatar rooftops. KINTEL has played in Berlin staples: Lokkschuppen, Marmor Bar, Mikropol, Crack Bellmer, and more.

We’re happy to introduce Pfadfinderei/PFA Studios as part of the lineup for Body of Work 3. @pfa__studios Founded in Berlin in 1999, Pfadfinderei is a collective of artists working across graphic design, animation, technology, and communication. The studio first emerged through its distinctive vector-based graphic language, creating flyers, posters, and visual identities for Berlin’s rapidly evolving electronic music scene. Early collaborations with labels, clubs, and artists such as BPitch Control, Modeselektor, Paul Kalkbrenner, and WMF helped shape the visual culture surrounding the city’s club movement. In the early 2000s, Pfadfinderei expanded its practice beyond graphic design into live visuals and spatial experiences. Their “Labland” event series, created together with Modeselektor, brought together electronic music and audiovisual performance, featuring acts like Jamie Lidell, Apparat, Phon.o, Hermann & Kleine, Monolake, François Chalet and Bowling Club. They held VJ residencies at venues such as WMF and Watergate, establishing the collective as a key force in Berlin’s developing Live AV scene. Over the following years, their work evolved into stage design, touring visuals, and large-scale productions for artists including Moderat, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiga, and Boys Noize, with major commercial acts including U2 and Sunrise Avenue commissioning Pfadfinderei’s content for their stadium tours. Pfadfinderei has also developed installations, exhibitions, and brand experiences for institutions and companies such as Porsche, Deutsche Bahn, Volvo, and MINI. THUR 19 MAR 8PM BODY OF WORK VOL. III DIGITAL ART NIGHT This edition of Body of Work, in collaboration with Studio 1111, explores Post-Rave Aesthetics — tracing how the visual language of 1990s rave culture continues to shape contemporary design and digital environments. The evening unfolds as a talk hosted by Dr Amelia McConville, alongside visual presentations by Colors And The Kids and Pfadfinderei. Moving between graphic design, motion, sound, and immersive installation, their work reflects how underground club experimentation has evolved into the visual systems that shape music culture and contemporary creative practice today. Following the talk and visuals, the night transitions into DJ sets by KINTEL and FEMRED, carrying the atmosphere from screen to dance floor.

Emerging from an intersectional access to early digital software, DIY flyers, VJ culture, club-born experimentation, and internet 1.0, rave aesthetics developed its own grammar: raw typography, signal distortion, synthetic textures, a future-facing obsession with rhythm, repetition, and intensity. Today, those visual instincts live on: refined, abstracted, and recontextualized across music videos, brand identities, motion systems, and large-scale digital environments. What was once underground now circulates globally, influencing how international market energy, subcultures, and futurity are communicated in visual form. Body of Work 3 explores that transition. With artists influenced by club culture, the one-hour talk session (hosted by Dr Amelia McConville, PhD in Visual Poetry & Visual Poetics with Neurohumanities) examines how experimental, non-commercial practices evolve into sustainable creative careers. How do you preserve an ethos built on freedom, risk, and community while working with international clients? Where does authorship shift, and what remains intact? In an apocalyptic desert three travellers encounter a mysterious woman and her child. What begins as both an exhausting and cheerful journey develops into an absurd, but humorous night. A new, genre-spanning music theatre based on "The Woman at the Store" by Katherine Mansfield.
