Introducing the тАШAsk Me AnythingтАЩ series.
Over the last two decades, IтАЩve worked across different areas of animal protection in India - engaging with the legal system, working with institutions, sensitizing enforcement agencies, and teaching students and professionals.
One thing that has remained constant is how much confusion exists around animal welfare laws, what actually counts as cruelty, and what people can realistically do when they witness harm.
So IтАЩm starting this series to answer your questions directly.
Send me anything youтАЩve ever wondered about - animal cruelty, welfare laws, situations youтАЩve encountered, or things youтАЩve always been unsure about. IтАЩll personally go through the submissions and answer selected questions in a video releasing later this month.
The link to submit your questions is in my bio. Please keep your questions clear and specific.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

When an animal becomes part of the everyday background, it becomes easy to stop noticing who they really are.
Cows are not passive figures in the landscape.
They form friendships, remember treatment, feel stress, seek safety, and move through the world with awareness.
Share this with someone who needs to know these gentle animals a little better.

When compassion speaks, the country listens.
Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi has urged the Andhra Pradesh government to halt the planned mass animal sacrifices at the Sri Tirupati Gangamma Temple.
Tradition should evolve with humanity, not cruelty. Thousands of innocent lives cannot be justified in the name of faith when kindness itself is the highest form of devotion.
India is changing. Younger generations are questioning violence, demanding compassion, and standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
No animal deserves fear, pain, or death as an offering.
Raise your voice. Compassion becomes change when people refuse to stay silent.

A landmark step for animal welfare -
@shipmin_india , under HonтАЩble Minister @sarbanandasonowal , has formally amended the тАЬSagar Samajik SahayogтАЭ CSR Guidelines (29.04.2026) to include ANIMAL WELFARE in the 68% allocation for environment & sustainability - applicable to all Major Port Authorities.
This unlocks dedicated CSR funding for animal welfare across IndiaтАЩs port jurisdictions.
Major Port AuthorityтАЩs CSR cells can now consider proposals for ABC/sterilisation programs, rescue & shelters, veterinary care, working-animal welfare, and marine wildlife protection etc.
Gratitude to MoPSW for this progressive recognition. @pmooffice8

Following intervention by Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, the Diu Administration (Administrator Shri Praful Patel & SDM Shri Shivam Mishra) has assured an immediate end to illegal relocations.
What happens next?
1. Vigilance: Residents must report any further unlawful picking or mistreatment.
2. ABC Program: organizations need to come forward to operate a sterilization program and local volunteers are needed to lead efforts in their vicinities.
