The new look for Petrolhead Studios!
To celebrate 4 years of service and growth, I thought it was time to update our aging logo to be more in tune with the new website. With a fresh update also potentially coming for chomp, I think this will feel right at home on the side of a race car. :)

Alright… I know it’s a little late, but here’s the 2025 recap!
From the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, to Touge.Us, it’s been an action-packed-tire-smoking 2025 to say the least.
I simply cannot thank our friends and clients enough for entrusting me to show your stories, achievements, and builds to the masses. It’s means the world that you value this line of work, and entrust in me to deliver your message to the masses. This is not a duty that I take lightly I genuinely appreciate the opportunities you all of have given me.
We all have one thing in common: a passion for automobiles. Whether it be driving, racing, building or collecting - there is something in this community for everyone.

No shortage of auto auction work these past few weeks.
Kicking off my first Cars and Bids listing of 2026 is this low mileage 986 Porsche Boxster with a pretty rad red interior. Paired with Arctic Silver Metallic paint, a 2.5L flat six, and a 5 Speed manual transmission, this Boxster presents a low barrier entry into mid-engine sports car ownership.

Spending the day behind the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing was something truly special — a reminder that the stories, people, and experiences surrounding these cars are just as meaningful as the machines themselves.

With competition school coming up in June, the mad dash to get this car race ready starts now.
At the end of last year, this car was nose down in a ditch. That being said, my little off-road excursion hasn’t stopped me from moving forward with my plans for this car.
From livery and color scheme changes, to the suspension and fire suppression system, stay tuned for this E36’s journey into wheel-2-wheel racing.

When it was at its peak, Speedhunters was one of the best outlets to learn about car culture around the world, while gawking over the impressive photography from the likes of Larry Chen, Paddy McGrath, and more. When the overlord’s at EA selfishly decided to sunset the entire website last year, a lot of enthusiasts lost their voice, along with a place to show their work.
Thankfully, those same journalists and then some decided to create their own online home; “a place tell stories that celebrate individuality, performance, and the culture that brings it all together” - Turnpike
While awesome, what really caught my eye was their inclusion of the community, through Backroads. Through it, photographers and other journalists like us could submit their stories for review so that their work could be shown to this masses without being at the mercy of an algorithm.
After mustering up some courage, I decided to draft my first story, and they went for it.

A few weeks after I crashed my E36 race car, an opportunity arose to photograph and test drive a few cars in the mountains of Southern California. As I began re-acclimate to performance driving, I decided to share my thoughts and impressions of the controversial Flat-4 powered 718 Boxster S. Deprecation and miles have brought these cars into a price category that has me wondering, does a used example with high mileage make sense in 2026? Check out the video for more!

Simply put: this is about as pure as driving gets. Unlimited seat time, loose surface, pillow-like boundaries, and an absolutely beautiful alpine setting.
Needless to say, @rayteamauto and I had an absolute blast last weekend tearing up the ice in some vintage Audi’s while hanging out with an awesome group of petrolheads.
Equipped with some epic factory Pirelli Studded tires, Ray Team’s Group A Rally Quattro was a monster. The amount of grip on the ice was truly astonishing - This thing was HOOKED UP.
Despite it being painfully cold, it didn’t stop any of us from giggling like kids. The snowcapped mountains provided the perfect backdrop, and the event organizers put on a hell of a show. We cannot wait to see how this event evolves for next year.
