Bonding time! I recently started thinking about the story of this 1968 @porsche 911 and what an incredible experience it had been to share my automotive love with my kids, specifically my oldest son Madden.
This dude is simply a car guy through and through. Rewatching these clips from every time he’s been in the garage helping me wrench on it or clean it brought a tear to my eye.
From pulling it out of a garage to working on it and eventually firing it up he’s been by my side 🥰
Shoutout to @quickjackusa for making it SO easy to lift the car up anytime I need to do anything on my cars; Madden loves pressing the buttons
Pinch me.
Today I got to experience something most people dream about. Forgotten Icons, a Lamborghini Countach LP400S and a Ferrari Testarossa which have been sitting and forgotten for years. These super cars have been undiscovered and I was lucky enough to take a look at them.
It’s such a surreal moment and feels like a real Forza Horizon Barn Find
Which one do you like better? The Countach or the Testarossa?

About 7 years ago while driving around my street I spotted an opened garage at a house just 8 houses away from mine. In the garage I saw the what appeared to be silhouette of a 911 under a car cover covered with cardboard boxes. I didnt have time to stop but I knew what I saw. About a year after that I approached the house and knocked on the door. “Hey it’s your neighbor, I saw the garage door was opened about a year ago I’m curious to see if the car in the garage is for sale?” I was met with “no sorry” “bummer well does it happen to be a 911?” I reply… I was met with a quick “no”
I kept my eye on the house and it looked empty. I found out that the owners moved and it was unoccupied for a few years
My wife and I walked past the house and I always said “I wish I could confirm what’s inside”
Fast forward a year
My wife’s uncle and I had a few drinks and go walk the dogs “Bill, I have to see what’s inside the garage, the house is empty and curiosity is killing me, I’m going to look into the window”
There it is, I saw the 911 under a car cover topped with cardboard boxes
I checked all public records in an attempt to contact the owner but no luck
About 2 weeks ago I discovered a dumpster in front of the house… “something is happening here”
After I discovered the dumpster I made it my mission to walk past the house 4 or 5 times a day to try to get in touch with someone working in the house. Went as far as to ask my neighbor who walks the neighborhood to let me know if she saw anyone at the house to call me and I’d run over
About a week later on our walk with my wife, kids and dog, I spotted a car in the driveway. Bingo. I approached, introduced myself. Turns out the homeowners passed away and the son was selling the house and cars. After a short conversation…score! An appointment was made to see the car and house before anything hit the market
On 8/18 the garage door was opened and I confirmed my intuition from years ago. A 1 owner 1968 911 was inside buried under boxes. Shortly after, a deal was made

The Lamborghini Countach in all of its glory! Look at that mileage and interior 😍 This is such a special car. I stopped by to see it again and continued to gather more information on it. Not only is it such a special car but the story of this car deserves its own book or YouTube video.
I’ll continue to get more information and hopefully pull this one out of the garage. What would you like to know about this? Long format video or short form?
Did you hear what the owner says about this car?
Throw back to some of my favorite cars. The 993, the turtle wax 951, the 944 safari car 😍 I like to rewatch some of these and remember how cool I used to be 😅🥲
Now that 2 more Porsche are gone from the fleet I think about some of the other cars I’ve sold. The one that stands out the most was my 993. Especially on a sunny day like today. It would have been a treat to drive this around. I look forward to the next one, hopefully my 68’ 911 will be everything I want it to be and more.
What car do you regret selling?
To piggyback off my most recent 911 Turbo find, I want to bring attention back to this forgotten Lamborghini Countach I found a while back. This beast is waiting to be brought back to life. Hopefully I can make that happen.
I have to say, all the comments people leave about owners who leave their cars unattended for such a long period of time forget that life has a way of getting in the way of hobbies or things we enjoy. Often times our priorities shift and the cars that we love sit due to work, children finances, health etc. It would be nice to think that everything is always great but when things happen, they happen, and our priorities change.
I myself, have left my VW Rabbit racecar sitting outside for 2 years now just because I’ve been too busy or haven’t prioritized that car.
Anyway, do you think this one is salvageable?
I said my final goodbye to two of my favorite racecars I’ve owned. This 944 Turbo was heavily modified and an animal on the track. The other NA 944 was going to be prepped as a backup race car or one ready for the SP2 series. But, as the saying goes, you can’t have everything, I say ”you can’t have everything at the same time” these cars will fund the next project. Shout-out to @944barn I’m sure you will take great care of them. Thanks @johnludwickjr for the assist with the transport. First class guys on all accounts.
Till the next one. ✌🏼 @turtlewax
The lost Turbo.
I’ve stumbled upon another gem. It’s sad seeing such an icon forgotten about. These cars need to be driven. I’d love to bring this one back to life. How about that interior though!?
The 2.5L twin plug beast is alive. No trending music. Just raw unmuffled sound of 10.5:1 compression.
Should I keep it unmuffled? Or will it be too loud?
