Chapter 2: My Houses 💛 My parents always lived in magical places in France: an 18th century haunted mansion, a 1930s artist’s atelier, an extraordinary art deco duplex at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, quite the furnished rental. Living in all these places was a subliminal education, but nowhere was as impactful as our house in Spain. It was so simple, proudly sporting an outhouse, eschewing electricity, and only accessible by boat. Everywhere I have lived along the way, from my first 200-hundred-square-foot studio in Greenwich Village to my current house in LA, shares that same sense of atmosphere and poetry.

Chapter 1: People ♥️ A designer’s creative DNA is based on several factors: your own personality, your eye, and your interests. My own DNA was especially informed by the people I was fortunate enough to meet along the way. For this chapter, I narrowed it down to six extraordinary people who strongly influenced me. They were not all professional designers but all had the gift of creating exceptional environments. To David Hicks, Christopher Gibbs, Jacques Grange, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali and Teddy Millington Drake: thank you for the inspiration.

Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s been one year of my book #theworldofpeterdunham 📕🌿 Over the next few weeks, look out for some of my favorite moments from each chapter...🧵🪡
Our third collaboration with Peter Dunham, Hudson Grace celebrates a spring collection for the entertainer at heart. A shared love of bold color, made to mix and match, and designed for tables that feel a little more joyful, a little more alive, and always ready for company. 🧡🌿

I often joke that I love nature... within the context of architecture. Tuesday I get to explore it all in a conversation with @bennerreibel and @ellenmcgauley@verandamag at @adacatlanta 🌳🌾🍃 We’ll talk through my most recent collab with Pat Benner and our favorite challenge of navigating the space between true nature and the interior. Swipe for details! 📆
Thank you @betterhomesandgardens for including this potting room in your latest Dream feature ✨️ Indeed, converting an unused basement space into a bright, functional potting room that exits into a sprawling, floral paradise was a DREAM! 💐
