Not distractive bokeh on both foreground and background.
Unbelievable DZO made such a fast anamorphic prime in this size, covering Full Frame!!
Hope they will release longer focal length soon.
A project nearly 2 years in the making, this 50 year old camera has finally achieved its final form - a fully modernised and ready to shoot Bolex EBM with all the modern bells and whistles!
I cant speak highly enough of @ofgcustoms service - in spite of challenges with shipping and technical issues with the camera, they were with me every step of the way. Holding this camera in my hands, I can tell you this was worth every penny.
Film is on order. Time to make some memories!
A few upgrades added to my Aaton XTR Prod. A battery plate and front cage from Charnwood Movements helps bring this camera closer to modern specs! Loving the Carl Zeiss Jena rehousings from IronGlass - they might be going out for a long job very soon.

Made for only five years between 1972 and 1977, the camera is considered a legend amongst film shooters around the globe. Can't wait to load a cartridge and head out into the world!

I had the opportunity to use the PHOENIX 28-70MM T2.7, a small FF zoom lens from @ancientoptics , Japan rep @peterbcooper . It's a wonderful, nice vintage lens that has a very elegant bokeh, and its flares give a distinguished look without losing too much contrast. Rather, it feels like there's a nice soft filter.

A special treat came in at the end of the year, and lordy it got me excited! This is a 3-lens set of Kowa 35-B anamorphic lenses - Kowa's very first anamorphics before their more well known 35-BS set. These lenses date back to 1958 and are almost 70 years old!
I have a fair bit of information about the history of these particular lenses and am researching the projects they were used on. Some real classics!
