We shot this quick demo reel at OFG Customs this week with our new @ofgcustoms Anamorphic Probe adapters. The goal was to show you not only the anamorphic character that these adapters can give you, but also a little reminder that there are some places that only a probe lens can go! These adapters will give your Laowa Probe lenses anamorphic characteristics including added lens flares, barrel distortion, and falloff, while retaining the lenses’ extreme close focus ability, and small size. You also get 1.5x wider field of view, which makes this an ultra-wide, anamorphic, macro lens! If you are interested in purchasing them, they are in stock and ready to ship from OFG Customs. Introducing the @ofgcustoms LONG SHOT. The Long Shot is an optical adapter that allows you to use Full Frame/Large Format/Vista Vision lenses, and retain the full field of view, depth of field, and character of those lenses onto the 16mm format. It was designed specifically to use with PL mount 16mm cameras like the ARRI 416, ARRI SR3, AATON Xtera, XTR Prod, and more. You now have 10 times the lens options for 16mm film, as well as the ability to capture a completely new look, no one has ever seen for 16mm. This truly is 16mm reimagined. Here’s a quick test recording from the OFG Customs HD Video Assist, This is from one of OFG’s Bolex H16 EBM cameras, that has been converted to Super 16mm. THIS RECORDING IS NOT 16mm FILM! The is just to show you the image you can expect from the video feed from the camera’s HD IVS. The images have not been altered in any way. This is straight out of the video tap. As you can see, you can get sharp images. The limitations are more in the texture of Bolex ground glass itself. This is the same video assist that is on all of OLD FAST GLASS’ Bolex Cameras as well as the Video Assist sold by OFG Customs. This particular camera also features the OFG Customs battery plate, full cage, and PL Mount. The video feed is 1920x1080 HD. You can monitor and of course record video for playback via the SDI port. This video was recorded with a Blackmagic Design Video Assist 5” Recorder/Monitor onto an SD card. Lenses were primarily the Cooke 10-30mm T1.5 and a Kern Macro Switar 26mm f1.1. NEW GEAR! We have new @ofgcustoms Gold Mount battery plates for the AATON Penelope. The aluminum plates are low-profile, and lightweight. They attach the same way the stock Penelope batteries do. They are designed to be used either one at a time, or both simultaneously. If you use one, you can work with larger batteries, and you still have a 4-Pin XLR available for block battery. If you use both simultaneously, you will need to use smaller batteries, which is not an issue, since we have 45, 90, and 150 batteries that are compatible with the tandem battery plate arrangement. Each battery plate has 1 x D-Tap, and 2 x 2-Pin LEMO ports.
