every year we see a pride that’s about excess, consumption and corporate greed, normalizing the underlying cisheteropatriarchal and capitalist systems and its different forms. the recent years we’ve seen state violence and repression to anti-genocide messages, the depolitization of a fight that has not ended for most of us. we want to invite you to resist with us and our beautiful community, hand in hand 🤝

this manifesto was thought by our team to put into words our philosophy and mission. through our events we want to transmit Revolutionary Joy. we, the queer Latinx community exist and resist despite our marginalización and opresión in all its scales. we know what socio-cultural systems harm us—and we try to create a more inclusive space to all from the wisdoms of our community.
the world and its violent systems are something that not only live around us, but WITHIN us from a life-time of conditioning and socialisation to internalize queer-phobia, white supremacy, capitalismo gore, ableism, lookism, speciesism, puritanism, and heteropatriarchy. it is important to show up differently in this broken world. only once we acknowledge our role in perpetuating these violences against ourselves and all around us, can we act against these oppressive hegememonic systems through action.
thus as PERRX we take a steps in our events to practicing transfeminism, decoloniality, anti-racism, and a celebration sexual desire/expression, of queerness, in all bodies, more and more each time in our donations, collaborations, employment, representations, provision of education resources, and our celebration of queer Latinx joy.
