Though there’s so much I could share about the insights of 2024, these insights feel too personal to share. Perhaps I’m learning that secrecy is sacred.

We often hear about metamorphosis, the state of breaking down to reform into a new, but I’d like to talk about wildfires —- the underrated and over-feared transformation process. Wildfires are a vital part of the Earth’s natural cleansing cycles. As I wandered the regrowth on this land, I pondered on this regeneration of the forest and what that looks like for myself. By burning away dead vegetation, or comfortable habits/patterns, we stimulate new growth or new ways of being. By stripping away all that once was, all we relied on, we nourish the soil of our minds and make space to create a new foundation of support for ourselves from the ashes of what we held onto prior.
This is my era of welcoming the burn … I no longer fear the loss, I no longer fear letting go and detachment, I no longer fear the destruction necessary for restructure.
