AMERICAN FOOTBALL - SUMMIT - 5/15/26 - Took a risk and left all my digital gear at home for this very special-to-me show. All 35mm film, Kodak Ektapan 3200 pushed one stop to 6400. Three cameras, three rolls of film. Developed and scanned at home by me this morning. What an honor it truly was, as it always is. - @americfootball at @summitden for @pillowprincesspress

🌫️ I saved the pieces from when it broke and ground them all to dust - 35mm from AFI on Halloween 2025. I took a chance here and it didn’t really pay off, but these are all from the first song, really the first two minutes of the set. I had it in my mind that I’d finish my roll of delta 3200 and then grab the digital cameras, which I did. “It’s the Fillmore, it’s going to be bright enough for sure.” was an actual thought I had. I was wrong, I tried to do too much and these images didn’t come out because of it. I’m still untraining habits and methods that I’ve picked up doing so much digital photography. This week’s epiphany: “Underexpose digital, overexpose film.” I’ve started to notice and realize that I’ve been slightly underexposing film like, A LOT. Nobodies said anything? Not everything is a stylistic choice, lots of times it’s growing pains, learning the hard way, and plainly just blowing it! - Developed and scanned at a lovely family home here in Englewood, CO Delta 3200 in C110

THE FORMAT - 4/10/26 - MISSION B - - Round two is digital. All from my Fuji and single zoom lens. I was having way too much fun on the pit to avoid the shake and blur in some of these, singing along as I like to do. Dang this was such a special night, I can’t really reiterate that enough. Nothing beats a band I love with a bunch of cool photographers and friends on the pit and an incredibly cool crowd to boot. - Thank you again @theformat for 20+ years of music Thank you @missionballroom for being air conditioned Coverage for @pillowprincesspress

lunch truck - they pulled up honking and I was like what the hell is goin’ on out there but I soon realized it was serious and real business that needed no concern from me aside from my desire to photograph the scene surreptitiously from my hidden position in the front doorway of our bungalow - tri x 400 (the real thing, real film, real chemicals, no recipe or film sim, just Kodak perfection and a plastic, excellent camera)

Somehow I didn’t realize that by treading waist-deep in entropy and by seeking it out that I would get it all over me chaotic energy stuck to my shoes and my skin and in my hair so thick that only a magic waterfall could rinse it away I will be more careful, more mindful from now on

in memoriam, my one early spring onion blossom - the only one that came up, now devoured by frost and sleet. maybe the rest of them will still happen but the drought and intermittent late frosts have been murder - 400TX home dev/scan

Amelia Bones, Felis boneheadicus, screaming bones, screeching banshee, etc. - she has become rather difficult to photograph lately as she doesn’t like the sound of the camera shutter and mirror slapping. - One of the big/only major drawbacks of this Canon Rebel S2 is how loud it is. It’s also just.. kinda big and kinda ugly. But it does sport a 1/2000 shutter speed which is more (at least one stop more) than I can say for all the other 35mm cameras I use. Its pop-up flash is actually good and seamless to use with the camera’s metering system when in manual mode too. There’s no perfect camera there’s really only what’s ideal for any given scenario. You have to balance size, functionality, price, use case, and personal taste when choosing a camera. Aesthetic/taste should definitely be the last thing you have in mind and I only include it because I’d be lying if I said it didn’t matter to me personally because it does. - Tri X 400

the final unseen photos from @collective.objective - I have like, six different 35mm cameras I like to use at any given time now. Sometimes a roll sits in the camera for longer than I intend. It was a fun surprise pulling this off the Paterson reel and hanging it up to dry. Here they are, all smiles too. - Round two is in full swing. It’s an immensely talented and interesting group of people who have their cameras and are getting to know one another! I can’t wait to see what they make! - Kodak 400 TX Canon EOS Rebel S II home dev/scan roll no. 22/100

shopping, breakfast, etc. with my Grandmother and Great Uncle - Nancy and Peter live in the same building and have now for a couple of years, the closest they’ve lived to each other since she left home in the early 60’s to attend school for fashion and design in New York City. Uncle Pete shortly thereafter left home to galavant around the nation as a true 60’s beatnik, hitchhiking, gambling, and indulging in the free love lifestyle. He eventually fled from the United States and the federal government to avoid being drafted in an unjust, immoral, and outrageous bloodbath of a “war”. He told me “I didn’t want to kill people.” so he burned his card and went to Canada to dodge the first draft in 1969. Some estimates say that over half a million men avoided the draft by some means or another during the Vietnam War. - Ektapan 3200 Konica FT-1 Motor Hexanon AR 28mm f/1.8 - Dear diary, Please god don’t let that be shutter capping on the last frame 🤮 I haven’t seen this in any other shots and it could very well be a flare or bad development, film people please give your opinions on this. (YEAH I know you would probably have to see the negatives to really make a judgement. Sheesh maybe it was a wonky scan? I thought I’d ironed out all my scanning bugs..)
