Moments from the Workshop on Feminist Printing and Poetry with Periphery Center !
In this workshop, we dove into the history of feminist printing and protest poster-making. Together, we explored examples of feminist protest print and posters, read excerpts, and reflected on what’s happening in the world and in political speech in the media. Through poetic alterations and letter-writing exercises, we engaged with how language and imagery can influence activism.
Prints made throughout this workshop as well as more of PPP’s rich collective output will remain on show until Sunday 27 July culminating in a Phinissage event. You can register for free through the eventbrite link in our bio.

Let me introduce you to Periphery Center 🌀
A collective consisting of Pelumi Adejumo, Jeanine van Berkel, Yusser al Obaidi, Yessica Deira, and Leana Boven.
Periphery Center is an emerging collective for artistic practice and shared study. Here, we center the margin as the main site for the production of a counter hegemonic discourse that is not just found in words but in habits of being and in the way one lives.* Here, we meet to inspire one another and co-create the reality we dream of through bookmaking, (graphic) design, publishing, curating, art and writing.
