Our new website is now live!
We have enjoyed the process of putting this together — reflecting on the projects we’ve created and, more importantly, the relationships we’ve built with artists and creatives over the past 40 years.
As a family foundry, everything we do is built on tradition; trust and a genuine passion for bringing these works to life, something we are proud to continue.
Garden of Care
With passing seasons
Memories accumulate
One hundred stories
Ties that bind stay strong
Each memory forever
Encapsulated
Garden of Care is a bespoke work that was created for and with Andrew, a long-time friend and colleague, who commissioned a work for his new home in Meanjin (Brisbane), overlooking Maiwar (Brisbane River).
The work was created from a collection of one hundred silk ties that Andrew had collected over forty years. Using upcycled textiles that have been previously loved have long been an important part of my practice, as they embody many memories and feelings.
As we gently and closely worked together over the course of one year, Andrew had kindly and intimately shared the significance of individual ties, where they were from, where he wore them.
As the work progressed through the seasons, I carefully considered the relationship of Andrew’s new home to the winding waters of Maiwar and imagined the work as a way of expressing his life journey.
Cast bronze pieces have been interwoven with the textiles, representing transformation from an ephemeral state to an enduring form.
The use of ties in this work speaks to deep bonds between people and places.
Garden of Care is dedicated to the memory of Andrew’s mother Pat.
I would like to thank you … Andrew and holistic team, family and friends … everyone deeply for your love and gentle care and ongoing support.
Thank you for caring …

Honouring the legacy of “The Nackeroos” in Normanton QLD. Operating across remote northern Australia, their service was deeply connected to Country — and to the knowledge, presence, and support of local Aboriginal communities, whose understanding of the land was essential.
Sculpted by Phillip Piperides, this bronze memorial stands as a tribute to that shared history.

GARDEN | HEALING TOGETHER
Fabricator: @peridesartprojects
Cast aluminium, enamel paint, woven textiles, love and healing wishes
Bundjalung Country, Tweed Valley, NSW
Stand under this healing garden and observe the subtle shift in colour. Think of a place by the coast or hinterland and imagine the warm breeze brushing your cheek. Close your eyes and think of all the colours you’ve just seen. How do the colours make you feel?
GARDEN | HEALING TOGETHER explores the healing and medicinal properties of flora in the Tweed Valley region and the powerful influence of aroma and colour on mood.
Informed by members of the local Aboriginal and South Sea Islander communities, the artwork takes as its starting point the shape of the lilly pilly berry. Its blue and green colour palette recalls the lush nature of the Tweed Valley between the coast and the hinterland, inspiring feelings of calm and wellbeing.
The local community was invited to create woven elements for the artwork during a series of workshops, where they participated in the soothing, meditative process of creating “seedlings”. More than 500 community members contributed to the artwork; winding yarn, sorting materials, exploring texture and colour, while connecting with each other through the shared experience.
About the artist:
Hiromi Tango is a Japanese-Australian artist who works across sculpture, drawing, photography, installation and performance. Over the last decade, Hiromi’s practice has explored how engagement with art as both audience and maker can promote wellbeing and improve health.
This artwork is part of the Tweed Valley Hospital Arts Program.

Congratulations on the grand opening of Lorikeet Park @skyridgeliving
Art-Public are proud to be working with the team at Skyridge to deliver public artworks for this ambitious community development project. Our most recent work with Brisbane based sculptor, Phillip Piperides now open to the public for your enjoyment.
‘The Viewer’ By Philip Piperides @peridesartprojects
Medium: Cast Bronze with 2-Pak Paint
The Viewer’ interrupts a striking view of the Gold Coast skyline from Lorikeet Park, as a paradoxical reflection on our way of experiencing the world through the digital instead of delighting in the present. It is a playful invitation to consider the ways we engage with nature and how technology has preoccupied simple everyday moments. Here, the sculpture encourages photography, turning the magnificent view and artwork into a digital experience that is a reminder to put down devices and seek connection with the physical world.
Skyridge’s mission to incorporate public art is an integral part of SkyRidge’s place making philosophy. Art will play a significant part in inspiring and uplifting our community, as well as shaping its character to leave a legacy for the future.
