How to Build a Void ; a poem by me, co-created with @kibenduni ’s photography. This photo slideshow, layered with BTS footage by @kylekioko , was presented at Pictures & Paragraphs by @penmanshipke this past weekend, where people experienced our work together. We took a different approach to the presentation by layering my voice over instrumentals (Sharon Van Etten’s Jupiter 4) and had some really beautiful conversations around this body of work. It was especially lovely seeing people write in response to the images; how differently the same visuals were felt and interpreted.
