Perhaps the greatest skill to develop in rope is the awareness of what something 'holding' feels like, learning where you're safe, and for each wrap or lock how much you're free to move. Once you build that awareness, play is infinite.

Absolutely *obsessed* with the visual difference shoving that hip back fast rather than slow in the set-up for this arm balancing trick makes - did it absent mindedly whilst exploring earlier this week and now it's my new favourite tiny thing: it feels absolutely the same in terms of mobility but looks horrifically jarringly off-putting and I'm very here for that. The magic's in the details ✨️

Over the past few months, we have thoroughly enjoyed working with our inaugural Calanais Residency artists Freya Pellie and Jonathan Doyle. 💫
Inspired by the Isle of Lewis and the June 2025 major Lunar Standstill, the duo combined aerial performance art, astrophysics science, and local stories to explore the ensuring connection between people and the Calanais Stones.
We are thrilled with the work they produced throughout the residency and are delighted to be able to share it with you all. 🎥

One of my unexpected highlights of Hoopscotch was a chest rolls workshop with @jessicadancehoops - I'd never really understood hoop balances or rolls so I almost didn't go because it felt like it'd be waaay beyond my skill level but I ended up finishing the class with these and some somewhat ok palm balances! Thanks Jessica for a really well planned and super informative class! ⭕️✨️
