TO THE WELL is released at last. A short story following my process over the past 8years, reconnecting with my ancestral culture in Ireland.
May this story shed some healing light on our past so we may see more clearly our present and future. May it bring us closer to reconnection and reconciliation with the land where we now stand. May we find pathways towards healing, peace and a vibrant culture of belonging.

Bealtaine looks a little different this year. It’s more a river of milk than a great fire on the hill.
We welcomed our son Rónán just a few days after these photos were captured here at home in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
A selkie name for our boy, who was born into the waters with his sack still around him, and who swiftly brought his mamma to the threshold between worlds.
We are so deeply grateful to be home, resting, healing and swimming in the deepest love we’ve ever known.

The past 24 hours have been distressing for all of us but we are relieved to hear of the ceasefire, despite it being incomplete and tenuous. We are hopeful that a true and stable peace can be reached later this week.
Articles of impeachment have been introduced against Donald Trump this morning for war crimes and unlawful actions in both Venezuela and Iran. Keep calling your representatives and remember to vote in the midterms!!! We must see this man removed from office. The deliberate targeting of civilian power & water infrastructure as well as stating “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” must be understood as clear intent to commit ge🛑c!de.
The belief that the US had any intention to actually help the people of Iran must be understood as a fallacy constructed to further an Imperialist agenda, grab resources and conveniently distract the world from the mountain of allegations covered up by the US department of justice to protect the so called president from previous egregious crimes.
Admittedly I have tried to shield myself from the horrors of the news recently, for the sake of my own mental health and in preparation for birth, but yesterday it all landed too close to home when someone I love stepped directly into the line of fire.
None of us were designed biologically to face the ongoing stream of violence or disturbing news from across the globe daily.
Our nervous systems were designed to know and respond to what was happening in front of us, in our families & our villages.
That said I hold a deep belief in the power of prayer and aligned collective action. We are living in times where so much that has lurked in the darkness is being revealed, but it is the growing light that is revealing it, and with that light is the power to turn and face what has been hidden in the shadows for too long.
Mind yourselves, hold your loved ones close, take breaks when you need to reconnect with the beauty that surrounds you and then… ⬇️ comments

Caoineadh do na Cailíní - Lament for the Girls - March 1, 2026
I’m thinking today of the departed. Of the children and friends caught in the crossfire of another senseless war.
Of the daughters who went to school one morning never to return home, and of my dear friend Ali, who has been unreachable since this all started over two weeks ago.
May you be safe, may your families be safe.
May the men who perpetuate these atrocities in order to avoid facing accountability for their own gross transgressions, be brought to a swift and final justice.
Once and for all.
May we all have the capacity to face and grieve the world that is dying so that we may be lucid in the birth of a new one.
Another circle round the sun, growing, learning, loving and blossoming into the path of motherhood. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my life this year. For all the friendship, beauty, music, prayers and laughter. Pregnancy has been a very internal and sometimes isolating experience for me, but I promise I’ll leave my little cocoon again when the time is right.
For now we are quietly nested and counting the days until we meet this little one.

Though headlines have pivoted with the daily flurry of threats and disturbing actions taken by the current administration, the reality remains that roughly 70,000 people are currently detained in 1CE detention centers with conditions that have repeatedly been described as inhumane and dire.
Recent reports show that over 70% of immigrants arrested by the current administration have no criminal record or pending charges - despite the administration’s claims. Instead families are being ripped apart, denied basic legal and human rights and Habeas corpus violated.
Our country has forgotten its origin story.
The vast majority of us descended from people who came here looking for a better way of life.
