Thank you @theatrepeckham for inviting Peckham Settlement to see your brilliant Christmas show Alice in Wonderland. The audience of mainly year 7 students absolutely loved it too.
Theatre Peckham's CEO/Artistic Director Suzann Mclean said how important it was for children to be inspired by seeing themselves represented on stage and within the arts. The audience of year 7 students were certainly inspired today. Everyone should go and see this amazing show, which runs until 23 December!
Peckham Settlement is a small grant-maker that provides grants to charities and community organisations within Peckham and Nunhead. We are seeking new trustees to guide us through our new vision and mission for supporting the SE15 community.

Join us! We are looking for a:
A Voluntary Treasurer: To maintain and report on our accounts. You would need a head for figures and a finance background is desirable.
Three Trustees: To help set the future direction for our grant-making. Trustee experience is not a requirement for either position.
You must be able to commit yourself to:
Approx. 7 x 2 hour trustee evening meetings (6.30- 8.30pm)
1 Annual General Meeting
A planning day a year.

Applications welcome from all sections of the SE15 community, in particular young people (aged 18-25) and individuals from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Our programme welcomes applications for grants ranging from £500-£3,000 which support people in Peckham to have better and equal access to opportunities, which creates a fairer and flourishing community.

Last week, we held our 2025 AGM @staffordshirest - it was a great evening as we did things slightly differently. We shared our vision and aims, as well as our new grant forms that are more user-friendly. A big thank you to all who attended and our grantees Ernest Foundation and Bells Garden TRA Knitting Project who presented on the impact of their awards.

It was wonderful to be invited to @elevatedminds_cic Friday session to meet the team and young people. It was a very inspiring and joyful afternoon, including a presentation by author Stephen Bourne about his historical books in relation to Steve McQueen's film #TheBlitz .
