We recently screenprinted a series of tote bags for Memories for the Future, a long-term community project by @peckhamplatform . The project brings together local residents and artists to explore personal and collective histories through storytelling and creative practice, building a shared archive of Peckham’s evolving community. It was a pleasure to support such a thoughtful and community-led initiative. design by Lola Komolafe @lo.kom_design #sonsolesprintstudio #peckhamplatform #memoriesforthefuture #screenprinting #peckhamcommunity

As part of In Living Memory, an exhibition reflecting on kinship, intergenerational memory and the care of family archives, @peckhamplatform presents a conversation between artist Myah Asha Jeffers and legendary Black British photographer Eddie Otchere. The discussion will be moderated by curator Brian Maina. The conversation offers insight into Jeffers’ practice alongside Otchere’s contribution to Black British photography, considering photography as both archive and witness while exploring how images hold history and shape identity. We’ll begin with an exhibition tour at 5:30pm at The Hub, Camberwell College of Arts (UAL), 42 Bonar Road, SE15 5FB, before taking a 15-minute walk through the heart of Peckham to Jumbi - a natural shift from exhibition into conversation. The panel will start at 6:30pm in the main space. 📍 Jumbi, Peckham 🗓 Monday 9 March 2026 ⏰ 6:30–8:00pm Free to attend.  Limited standing capacity. We recommend arriving early. Starting 2026 off with some good news for Peckham Square! Building on the rich symbolism of Adinkras and Ashanti culture, @southwarkcouncil in partnership with @nlalondon , have selected artist @godfrieddonkor , makers @millimetremakes and Kelly O’Reilly of @camberwellartsfestival to create a “Garden of Hope” in Peckham Square. The garden honours Damilola Taylor’s legacy and will feature a new sculpture by Godfried Donkor. Through 2026 the winning team will be exploring the concept of hope within a uniquely Peckham context, running co-design workshops for the community to refine the final design. The garden’s completion is scheduled for 2027. #peckhamsquare #socialart #southlondon #artistcollaboration #damilolataylor
