Art has a way of slowing the city down and bringing us back to one another. After moving from the Netherlands and leaving behind everything familiar, @dylanoconnorw found connection by painting what was right in front of him - the everyday moments of South London. As he says: “Painting is a connective force for me. London is so vast and so fast - being able to capture this moment in time gave me that chance to be with my new neighbourhood. Seeing people chilling in Jumbi with scenes of Peckham on the wall reminds us all how easy it is to connect with one another through conversation and art.” At Jumbi, we’re intentional about the details that shape the space - from the music and the drinks to the artwork on the walls. Every choice is made to encourage people to pause, connect, and feel at home. Seeing guests beneath scenes of their own neighbourhood is a reminder that art doesn’t sit apart from us - it brings us together. As a platform, we’re committed to championing creatives at every stage. From documenting the artists around him like Teoni, Sam Wise and Deela, to his work being embraced by musicians such as Jim Legxacy, Dylan’s journey reflects the power of community and collaboration. One last dance is coming… and it brings us back to the warehouse 🪩 As we prepare to open the doors for NYE, we’ve been reflecting on the summer that shaped the space. SubSkate started as a simple idea and became a shared rhythm - six weeks where the warehouse held skating by day, dancing by night, food on the tables, drinks flowing, and music at the centre. Thank you to every collaborator, selector, skater, builder, artist and friend who helped bring SubSkate to life - and to everyone who came through to skate, eat, drink, dance, or simply be present. You made the energy what it was. With real gratitude: 🛼 @sk8ofminds - for the care, commitment and hands-on support that made the rink possible. 🔊 @passaproductions for always coming through with the best sound system and set design finesse - until we go again NYE!😎 🏭 @copelandparkse - for the flexibility and trust to let us reimagine the warehouse. Today is World Cocktail Day - and we’re marking it proppaaa. The cocktail has always been born from necessity and imagination. During Prohibition, bartenders masked rough bathtub gin with honey and lemon and accidentally made classics. The Bee’s Knees, the Sidecar, the Tom Collins — all children of scarcity and creativity, mixed underground in jazz-lit speakeasies where drinking hadn’t stopped, it had just gone quiet. That spirit never really left. We’ve channelled some of it ourselves - five new drinks, rooted in the flavours that shaped us: 🥭 Mango Colada 🫚 Cardamom Daiquiri 🍺 Guinness Punch 🍹 Port of Spain 🌿 Ti Punch Which one are you starting with?
