In this heartfelt home renovation for a caring delivery man named Anthony Romano and his amazing family, the @cherryhomedesigns team and the crew from @casaconstruction_development joined forces to bring a mix of comfort, style, and function to their NJ home.
The family’s vision for “timeless designs ready for the moment we come home” helped set the tone for this remodel project. The transformation opened up once-cluttered spaces, introduced clean mid-century lines, and tied the rooms together with a soft, cohesive palette of natural wood tones and warm neutrals. As for true showstopper? The kitchen. Working alongside the talented teams from Cabinet Plant (big thanks to Paul and his crew!), Caesarstone (thank you Joe and team!), and Peter Brooks Stone Works Inc., the designers created a space that’s as practical as it is stunning. Custom cabinetry, high-end appliances from Reno’s Appliances, and a sleek new layout ultimately made it the perfect spot for the Romanos to cook, gather, and connect. Moreover, discreet storage solutions help keep everything organized, while vintage-inspired cane chairs and modern furniture lines strike that perfect balance of classic and fresh.

Jess and I went out for our weekly long training run this morning. We ran from Manahawkin over The Causeway into LBI and headed south. In total we ran 18 miles and it was a perfect day for our run. We are less than 2 months away from running the NYC Marathon. As many of you know, I am running with MSK Fred’s team and raising money for all of the important work that MSK is doing to cure cancer. This November, I’ll be running my first marathon, the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon, in memory of my father-in-law, Steven Lasher, who fought pancreatic cancer for over three years and was being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering. As I train for this race, I’m also thinking of my stepfather, Mike Barbetta, who is currently battling cancer. Thanks to the exceptional care he’s receiving at MSK, Mike is winning this fight and demonstrating the power of hope and determination. Their work is close to my heart, and I want to do my part to help end this devastating disease.
