We recently partnered with our friends at @nsbe_ghana for a 3-day AI Builder Workshop in Accra 🇬🇭⚙️
For three days, builders gathered to experiment, write code, ask questions, and explore what it looks like to build AI products in practice.
From VoiceToText apps to AI agents that could process payments autonomously, attendees spent the workshop turning ideas into working products alongside other builders in the room.
Thanks to everyone who joined us and built alongside us 💙
We recently hosted a dinner in Johannesburg 🇿🇦 with Emmanuel Lubanzadio, who leads OpenAI’s work across Africa.
It was an engaging conversation with founders, operators, and builders on what AI could mean for business. We explored everything from how AI is reshaping search and enterprise SEO, to what happens when agents start making decisions and payments on our behalf, to how teams can keep trust and oversight at the center of all this.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for the evening, we really enjoyed hearing what folks are building and learning 💙

Download Zap to try it.

Last week, we hosted MBA and PhD students from @cornelluniversity at the Paystack office in Ghana.🇬🇭
During the session, we discussed our journey over the past 10 years, what we’ve learned, and the impact we’re seeing across the markets we serve.
The group asked thoughtful questions about our work and the future of fintech in emerging markets. We enjoyed the visit and appreciate the opportunity to share our story.

Last week, students from @babcock.university ’s Google Developer Group on Campus visited the Paystack Lagos HQ as part of their Orbit 1.0 summit
They spent the day with us at our Lagos HQ, learning how we build and ship products, how teams work together, and what it takes to support businesses across Nigeria.
We also shared perspectives from across different teams, and talked about the many paths that exist in tech beyond writing code.
It was great to host the group and to spend time answering questions and sharing how we work. 💙

This week, we gathered for Iftar with current and former Stacks, for an evening of reflection, food, conversation, and community.
Ramadan is a season of discipline, prayer, reflection, and togetherness for many Muslim Stacks. This gathering gave us a chance to slow down, share a meal, learn a little more about the tradition, and come together across different backgrounds and beliefs.
Between the food, the laughter, the trivia, and the joy of seeing familiar faces again, it was a lovely reminder of what it means to gather in community.
We’re grateful to everyone who came and helped make it such a warm, thoughtful evening.
Ramadan Mubarak to everyone observing 🌙💙
