At the height of #JolinaMagdangal's fame, the buoyancy of her style was not always met with admiration. In an industry where public personalities are constantly exposed to unsolicited commentary, she became an easy target for criticism. Her exuberant mix of color, texture, and DIY sensibility was sometimes dismissed as baduy or labeled jologs—a term that, as she remembers, people would even jokingly connect to her name. “Yung ‘jologs’ nga daw sa akin galing,” she tells Preview with a quick laugh. “Jolina Organization daw.” But Jolina refused to give critics the power to dictate how she expressed herself. "Ah, baduy pala ha? Wait, there's more,” she quips. “Sabihin na nilang jologs. Well, masaya ako... In some alternate universe, #JerichoRosales would’ve abandoned his acting career for good. During the height of the 2020 pandemic, he was in New York and contemplating on moving there permanently. “I wanted to quit again,” he recounted. But fate led him to reunite with his acting mentor, and much sooner, his inner artist. When he returned to the Philippines in 2024, he assembled a new team that carefully calculated his next moves. Projects were chosen not only for their artistic merit but for how they aligned with a long‑term vision. His public appearances were timed, his messaging became consistent, and his brand was recalibrated for a new era.
