Discussed our 90s clubs @vamuseum yesterday with @countindigo94@paultunkin & host @jeffautomatic as part of a day organised by @musicvenuetrust and @caroline_maybe . We talked about Smashing, Indigo and Blow Up and how our clubs mixed a variety of alternative music with weekly live performances.
Count Indigo even sang a version of his 1996 single and earlier @rhodadakar discussed subcultures.
It was a very interesting series of events and we also got to play a few of our club's favourite floor fillers.

THIS SUNDAY - (May 3rd) Blow Up founder Paul Tunkin is a guest speaker along with other club runners Martin Green (Smashing) and Count Indigo (Indigo) about their role in the 90s club scene and the live music around these clubs. The session titled "Uncommon People" will be happening at 3.50pm and is free entry. Part of a Music Venue Trust all day event, celebrating grass routes music at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Expect a handful of records to be played between the chat from the three that is chaired by Jeff Automatic.

One week ago at Blow Up at the Century club Soho. It was great night and wonderful to see many familiar faces from over the years. Thank you to the venue staff for looking after us all so well, it was a pleasure to have an event there.

Marc Almond live in London.
A phone snap from last week in London, Marc Almond performing a live set at the private view of his exhibition 'Deities & Demons' Pagan self portraits and mood boards' or in Marc's own words his hospital art. Quite a lot visually to take in I'll have to pop back when the room is a little less busy. But it was a 'wild celebration' of all things Marc for sure.
Marc performed a short acoustic live set, with long time musical collaborators Martin and Kimberlee McCarrick. It was great to hear Mamba era favourites such as the covers of Caroline Says and In My Room whilst a cover of the Banshee's Love In A Void was performed along with a selection of Marc's self penned songs including Ruby Red, There Is A Bed and more.
A great evening and the first event at the Flitcroft St gallery which is set just off Denmark St and above a new venue to be opened next year. Really good to see more creative spaces opening up in the Soho era again.
The event was organised by Farsight Collective and exhibition runs until the 2nd May.

Around town last night I caught @mylifestoryuk live at The 100 Club, one of two shows the band are performing at the venue. A new live line up and a new album Loving You Is Killing Me is out now. It's great to see they are still going strong.
Jake of course an old @blowupimages club regular, who was in the trenches in what became known as the Britpop scene, whilst Jake designed early Blow Up flyers and posters. He are a couple of snaps from the phone.
