Después de mucho pensarlo.
Después de tantas dudas y de tanto miedo a exponer mi proyecto —y a exponerme a mí—.
Después de un embarazo psicológico "elefántico" de varios años…
Por fin: ha nacido Sra. Sánchez.
No es perfecta.
No tiene siquiera logo.
Pero tiene algo más importante: voluntad de servicio.
En este vídeo os muestro un catálogo que hice para @paulpretzer hace ya un año, y que hoy me sirve como punto de partida para contaros esto.
Os iré compartiendo poco a poco quién soy… a medida que yo también lo vaya descubriendo (es broma, o no).
Para quienes aún no lo sepan:
Soy diseñadora gráfica almeriense, directora de arte y futura arteterapeuta residente en Berlín.

After a lot of thought.
After so many doubts, and so much fear of putting my project out there —and of putting myself out there.
After a long, almost “elephant-like” psychological pregnancy lasting several years…
At last: Sra. Sánchez has been born.
It’s not perfect.
It doesn’t even have a logo yet.
But it has something more important: a will to serve.
In this video, I’m sharing a catalogue I created for @paulpretzer about a year ago, which now serves as a starting point to tell you this.
I’ll be sharing, little by little, who I am… as I discover it myself (just kidding… or maybe not).
For those who don’t know yet:
I’m a graphic designer, art director, and future art therapist.

Paul Pretzer (Paide, Estonia, 1981) engages with the genre of still life by transforming it into a theatre of the absurd, where formal balance coexists with the disorder of existence. His paintings stage objects, hybrid creatures, and seemingly static situations that, upon closer inspection, reveal latent tensions, dark humor, and a subtle sense of tragicomedy.
With I’m Still Standing, Pretzer enters into an open dialogue with art history, quoting the great masters while simultaneously questioning their conventions. By introducing elements of the grotesque, farce, and tragicomedy, he subverts the seriousness traditionally associated with painting—and with still life in particular—restoring to the genre a disturbing and profoundly contemporary vitality.

I’ve always found myself somewhere between bewildered and amused whenever I came across this kind of graffiti. To this day, the motivation behind it remains a mystery to me.
But it did prompt me to paint a painting about it…
The work is currently on view as part of the group exhibition at @feldbuschwiesnerrudolph through February 28.

Since ancient times, horses have lent us their strength to cope with everyday life; today, we borrow their medication to escape everyday life. Forward and all around, not always calm with the young horses, and overestimating or deliberately ignoring the available horsepower? The starting line is also the finish line, and a racetrack has no end. What if we decide to leave our regular paths? What means and ways are available to us? In the 21st century, human escapism is as diverse as our ever-present needs. We no longer know: are we riders or the ridden? But sometimes we just have to loosen the reins and let the animal (within us) lead the way. Horsing around III puts society and our understanding of freedom, control, and instinct to the test and challenges us to face the ambivalence of driving and being driven.
Looking forward to the opening of my first solo show with only still lifes next week in Turin!
