Connective Tension : Composition One
.
The front room of the gallery presents Composition One, featuring the Hydra One pendant alongside the Hydra Floor-to-Wall and Hydra Wall-to-Ceiling installations. Each piece is handcrafted by Paul Matter in burnt brass and glass.

At The Great Design Disaster, Hydra Works by Nikhil Paul (Paul Matter) remind us that light doesn’t have to behave. These pieces bend, stretch, and politely ignore categories: not ceiling, not wall, not floor. Just light doing whatever feels right.
Arms reach out, joints stay visible, bulbs seem to exchange opinions. Movement is encouraged, perfection is optional, and flexibility is the real design brief.
