I walked into Blackdot Tattoo on Allison Street in the Southside over 10 years ago, after finding @melgracietattoo on Instagram. Shortly after I was introduced to @tomtomtatts , who continued to tattoo me regularly over the next decade. I always loved coming up with ideas (Tom would tell me immediately if it was a shite idea) and letting Tom refine and perfect, until there was a design we were both happy with. He has tattooed me to commemorate the birth of my first child, and also after I got married. I enjoy my visits to the shop, listening to anything from Deftones to Sade, and just hanging out. From the first of May, Tom will be moving on, selling the shop and moving on to pastures new. I will miss visiting the shop, but wish Tom all the very best for the future, and hopefully get the chance to hang out further down the line. Support your local tattoo artist!

Earlier this summer we built a full rig of custom gear for the @lewiscapaldi live rig:
⚡ Output A/B Selector – switching between the main and spare Quad Cortex for each artist.
⚡ PSU System – powering 8x @neuraldsp Quad Cortex with our own locking power cables, designed to stay secure through transport and touring.
⚡ Stage Interface – linking to each artist’s pedalboard, carrying signal over XLR, while expression pedals and tuner power are routed over CAT5.
⚡ Mini Pedalboard Boxes – compact stage units that connect back to the Stage Interface, keeping setups clean and consistent.
⚡ Sustain Box – built for the awesome @aiden_halliday , allowing the sustain pedal to be latched so the piano can ring out even when he (or Lewis) steps away.
