I walked into Blackdot Tattoo on Allison Street in the Southside over 10 years ago, after finding
@melgracietattoo on Instagram. Shortly after I was introduced to
@tomtomtatts , who continued to tattoo me regularly over the next decade. I always loved coming up with ideas (Tom would tell me immediately if it was a shite idea) and letting Tom refine and perfect, until there was a design we were both happy with. He has tattooed me to commemorate the birth of my first child, and also after I got married. I enjoy my visits to the shop, listening to anything from Deftones to Sade, and just hanging out. From the first of May, Tom will be moving on, selling the shop and moving on to pastures new. I will miss visiting the shop, but wish Tom all the very best for the future, and hopefully get the chance to hang out further down the line. Support your local tattoo artist!
