“Boys Don’t Cry” is such an important song to me because it transcends me & my experiences. I wrote it for other kids like myself, to help them deal with the toxic masculinity we endure in our households. One year ago today we did the first ever “High Notes on Krog”. We did it every week, for 26 weeks, with different artists EVERY WEEK!!!! We ended up with performances from 80+ different musical acts, and over 100+ musicians from all genres, races, religions, etc. This will forever be one of the highlights of my life, and it definitely set the precedent for what’s to come. Thank you again to everybody who came to one of the shows, but thank you ESPECIALLY to everybody who came to the first show. There was something magical in the air this night, and we could all feel it. Miss you and see you soon 🤍

The Last Krog On Earth - A recap. 👻 Twenty-six weeks. @patrickzae , you’ve done it brother. You’ve made history. High Notes On Krog is not only legendary, but also monumental and generational. You’ve paved the way for a generation of new artists by providing them with a platform and an opportunity that they were denied somewhere else. That’s powerful, and we should all thank you for that. I personally thank you because during the past 26 weeks my life has gone through so many changes. Some extremely beautiful, some gut wrenching tough, but one thing was always constant- every Wednesday night High Notes On Krog was always there for me, through it all. so proud of my brothers @tokyoto.wav for dropping their first project and throwing an amazing event! always telling artists to never stop and remain consistent, and these guys are living proof of it! watching you perfect your sound and make this project has truly been awe-inspiring. these guys are always giving me too much credit, so now I just wanna thank yall for helping me on my own journey. @eastvalee has helped me produced pretty much all of my songs over the last two years, and if you know me, you know I’m so picky and particular about my music. @alan.who is a light, who has truly been nothing but the nicest, most supportive guy. I remember the first time hearing your music and thinking damn this guy is nice with it. thank you to the both of you for helping me get back on my journey and feeling inspired again. congrats on the release my bruddas, and if you haven’t heard the project, GO LISTEN TO IT RIGHT NOW!!!!

Here’s my speech I guess. @highnotesonkrog this has without a doubt been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Truthfully, I’m way more heartbroken & sad about ending it than I thought I would be. Seeing everybody’s love and support for what we have been doing, has been extremely moving and powerful for me. I’ve shed some tears since the final show. Shoot, my eyes are watering as I type this, but one ending is just another beginning. These past 26 weeks have been some of the best weeks of my life. Thank you for allowing me to feel comfortable being myself. That’s all I do it for, you know? Giving artists a safe space to be themselves is my #1 priority when planning my events. Seeing everybody hone their craft and be the superstars they were born to be is why I do this, and why I will keep doing it. No matter where we are. No matter when we are. High Notes might be ending, but this whole journey feels like the beginning of something beautiful. So yeah, thank you to all 89 artists who have blessed our stage. Thank you to anybody who ever came out to support local artists on a WEDNESDAY of all days. Thank you especially to the people who pulled up damn near every week. I feel like yall were there more than me. Last but not least thank you to my team who helped me pull off this insane feat. Throwing an event isn’t easy, but throwing an event EVERY WEEK for half a year is actually insane. I probably would’ve crashed and burned around episode 10, but having great people around me has been the biggest blessing of my life. It’s so important to surround yourself with the right people, and these past 26 weeks feel like a direct result of that. We truly ended on the highest note possible.
