Today would’ve been my mother’s 65th birthday, but now on the 1 month anniversary of her passing it has become a day to remember how amazing she truly was. To anyone who knew her will never forget her loving, caring and happy nature. She was truly the most supportive and loving mom I could’ve ever asked for. Though she may not be here physically, the love she spread to her family and friends will live on in them for a long time to come. I love you Mom, forever and always. ❤️
It’s been 8 months since my Bears won the Korean Series. Hard to believe how much things have changed and how fast time has gone. Hard to believe it’s been 2 months since this happened. Truly one of the proudest moments of my life, I’ve wanted to take the National Gugak Center of Korea to the US for a long time. Thanks to @newyorkasianfilmfestival@kccny & @filmlinc this became a reality. NYAFF showed the film Kokdu A Story of Guardian Angels with a live soundtrack performance by 20 musicians from Korea’s National Center for the Traditional Performing Arts. This event was NYAFF’s most attended single event in the history of the festival, filling up the beautiful Alice Tully Hall. As someone who has a great love for Korea’s traditional performing arts it was but a dream to work with the National Gugak Center one on one for the event. Some of these downright stunning instruments that I’ve only seen in pictures, I got to help assemble with my own two hands. Then to hear them perform was truly a geek out moment that was months in the making.
